Europa League Betting Tips – Arsenal, Rangers, Leicester & Manchester United are all in action tonight
Tottenham safely navigated their way to the next round of the UEFA Europa League last night and now it is the turn of the other British sides with Arsenal, Rangers, Leicester, and Manchester United all in good positions to qualify.
United and Rangers picked up first leg wins last week, with Rangers’ particularly catching the eye after scoring a last-minute penalty to win 3-2. Manchester United gave themselves a lot of breathing space with a 4-0 win over Real Sociedad so expect a few changes to their starting line-up tonight.
Elsewhere, Arsenal got a vital away goal against Benfica but that tie is still in the balance and Leicester drew 0-0 against Slavia Prague, so they know they have to win tonight.
Arsenal vs Benfica Prediction
Draw – 29/10 with Bet365
Neither Arsenal nor Benfica head into this crucial second leg fixture with any real semblance of form. The two sides drew 1-1 last week which hands Arsenal the initiative thanks to their away goal.
A similar result is likely to pan out here with 0-0 being enough to see the Gunners progress. A 1-1 draw would take the tie to extra-time where this one may just go all the way. Arsenal are the favourites but given the odds on a draw, there is value in backing another.
Rangers vs Antwerp Prediction
Alfredo Morelos Anytime Goalscorer – Evens with bet365
Rangers are unbeaten in the Scottish Premier League and in the Europa League this season. The Scottish champions-elect put four past Antwerp away from home and are firmly in the drivers seat heading into this one.
Rangers are firm favourites for a win but with odds and around 1/2 there’s little value in a single selection. Instead, we turn to the goalscorer market where Alfredo Morelos is priced at evens.
The Colombian has netted 12 this season and managed 14 in the Europa League alone last campaign. Should Rangers win as expected, Morelos is likely to be involved on the scoresheet this time around.
Leicester vs Slavia Prague Prediction
Harvey Barnes Anytime Goalscorer – 2/1 with Paddy Power
Barnes has been in exceptional form all season and has really stepped up his goalscoring rate of late. Barnes has netted 12 goals in 31 appearances across the campign and will be a likely source of goals here.
Leicester are heavy favourites to get the job done and progress to the next round. James Maddison picked up in injury at the weekend and maybe afforded a rest which places further emphasis on Barnes to produce. His pace on the counter could be a lethal weapon should Slavia Prague push forwards in search of a goal.
Manchester United vs Real Sociedad Prediction
Marcus Rashford Anytime Goalscorer – 11/5 with bet365
Another 23-year-old English winger in superb goalscoring form is Marcus Rashford. The Manchester United man has scored 18 goals in 39 games this season and is currently bang in form.
United breezed past Sociedad in a first leg that many expected to be tighter. Having done the hard work, Solskjaer’s side need to maintain their cool and see out a professional job to secure a safe passage to the next round. There are few cooler heads around than Rashford’s and at 11/5, there’s definitely value in this pick.
