Leicester vs Manchester City Predictions

Leicester have failed to beat any of the current top four this season. They have lost to Liverpool twice, opponents Manchester City and drawn twice with fourth placed Chelsea.

The Foxes have suffered just two home defeats in the league this season, both of which have come since Christmas.

Manchester City have lost four away league games this season with defeats to Wolves and Tottenham coming after Boxing Day.

Team to win prediction – Man City to win

Despite the chasm between them and Liverpool, City have fared reasonably well against current top six opponents. Their record thus far reads four wins, one draw and two losses. Away from home it is just one win from three with a single goal scored, however.

Thankfully for City fans, Leicester have gone off the boil of late. Jamie Vardy has not scored in six league outings. James Maddison has just one goal contribution in his last ten and Leicester have dropped points to Southampton, Burnley, Chelsea and Wolves since the turn of the year.

Anytime goalscorer prediction – Kevin De Bruyne

Where would Manchester City be without Kevin De Bruyne? The Belgian international has carried this side at times with performances that deserve much more than his sides’ current league standing suggests.

Once again KDB was the star of the show as City dispatched of West Ham with relative ease. Another goal and an assist took De Bruyne’s direct goal involvements in the league to 26.

He has already equalled his Premier League record goals tally with eight and it would be no surprise to see him add to that this weekend.

Total goals prediction – Under 3.5 Goals

Leicester have had a campaign to remember so far but they have struggled to score heavily against top-half opposition this season. They are yet to score more than two goals against any of the current top 11.

It’s a similar story for Man City who have scored more than twice on just one occasion against any of the current top seven. Each of their last three games have featured fewer than 3.5 goals. For the Foxes it’s five of their last seven.
