Liverpool v Manchester United predictions and betting tips for this weekend’s top of the table clash in the Premier League. United are three points clear of their rivals going into this game, but can they avoid defeat at Anfield?
- United went top of the table with a 1-0 win at Burnley in midweek

- Jurgen Klopp’s side only drew 1-1 with West Brom in their last home game

Who will win? Liverpool or Man United?
This is the biggest match of the season so far and one Manchester United will be keen not to lose. They go to Anfield in terrific form and are grinding out wins even when they’re not at their best. This was shown against Burnley in midweek when a Paul Pogba volley won them the points.
Despite Liverpool’s form away from home, they are almost impossible to beat at Anfield and haven’t lost there for 67 matches in the Premier League. Their last defeat came in April 2017 against Crystal Palace.
Jurgen Klopp’s side always seem to get big wins when it matters and that is why they ran away with the league title last season but their defence is a worry this campaign with Virgil Van Dijk and Joe Gomez missing. It isn’t in Liverpool’s nature to set up defensively so they will go out and attack United, and ultimately that could win them this match.

Liverpool vs Man United Anytime Goalscorer Tip
There is going to be a plethora of talent on show at Anfield on Sunday, so there are a number of choices for any anytime goalscorer tip. Mo Salah is the favourite with the bookies to score and the best odds you’ll get are 6/5 with Unibet. The same bookies are the best odds for all of the leading names in the anytime scorer odds including Sadio Mane (9/5), Bruno Fernandes (11/5) and Marcus Rashford (14/5).
Sadio Mane has come back into some kid of form in recent weeks and has started to overshadow Mo Salah again. Although the Egyptian will be on penalties for Liverpool here, I’d prefer a bet on Mane to score anytime at almost 2/1. He scored twice in the 4-1 FA Cup win over Aston Villa’s U23 side to take his tally to four goals in five matches and will once again be a big threat from his wide left position.
SADIO MANE TO SCORE ANYTIME – 9/5 with Unibet.
Liverpool vs Man United Correct Score Prediction
Linking into the earlier prediction of Liverpool to win, it is hard to see this being anything but a close game. However, Liverpool seem to always find a way to win at Anfield (barring the draw with West Brom) and they are especially good at this when sides don’t sit with 10 behind the ball. Ole Gunner Solskjaer would bite your hand off if you offered him a point from this game but he could never be seen to be playing for a draw against United’s biggest rivals.
That could leave them vulnerable in some instances and although it would be no surprise to see United get on the scoresheet, a narrow Liverpool win is the prediction for Sunday’s game, with a 2-1 win appealing at odds of 8/1 with Bet Victor.
LIVERPOOL TO WIN 2-1 – 8/1 with Bet Victor.
