Portugal vs France

Portugal to Win – 29/20 with Bet365

Portugal’s Nations League defence is going about as well as could be expected. Three wins and a 0-0 draw against the world champions has lifted Portugal to top of the group on goal difference.

Fernando Santos’ side are playing some of their best football in years and head into their home clash with France as the bookies’ favourites. Cristiano Ronaldo is obviously the star name but this current squad can rely on plenty of other individuals to repeat the result of the Euro 2016 final.

Sweden vs Croatia

Sweden are rock bottom of their group with four defeats out of four. They lost 2-1 to Croatia in the reverse fixture, scoring their only goal of the group thus far.

Croatia have fared better in an attacking sense but have just three points to their name. Croatia are yet to keep a clean sheet but kept Sweden to just one last time out. A win or draw will likely keep them in division A and relegate Sweden.

A fairly low-scoring game in which Croatia win looks the most likely outcome but should Sweden score, they may be able to keep Croatia at bay.

Germany vs Ukraine

Ukraine have acquitted themselves very well in their Nations League group so far. After topping their Euro qualifying group ahead of Portugal, Ukraine have picked up six points and sit one point behind leaders Spain.

Both Germany and Ukraine have scored and conceded in every group game so far with the exception of Ukraine’s 1-0 win over Spain. Germany are overwhelmingly likely to score given their attacking talent but their defence isn’t particularly solid and Ukraine have enough quality to pose problems.

Switzerland vs Spain

Spain haven’t been entirely convincing in their Nations League group. Besides a 4-0 win over Ukraine, Spain have a narrow win over Switzerland, a draw with Germany and a defeat to Ukraine in the reverse fixture.

Nevertheless, Switzerland are yet to pick up a win in the group and are the weakest side on paper. As a result of Spain’s sub-par form, odds for a Spanish win are almost at evens, surely good value for a side who have the ability to turn it on and sweep aside most teams in world football.

Cyprus vs Luxembourg

Luxembourg to Win – 11/8 with Bet365

Cyprus are yet to score in the group, having picked up a single point against Azerbaijan. They lost 2-0 to Luxembourg in their reverse fixture.

Luxembourg have nine points from four games and sit top of their group. They haven’t set the group alight but have kept things tight and not conceded more than one goal a game. Danel Sinani has three goals in his last two internationals and could be the difference between the two sides.
