Manchester United and Chelsea meet each other in the FA Cup once again for the chance to progress to the final. Read today’s Premier League predictions and betting tips below.

Bournemouth vs Southampton Prediction

Both Teams to Score – 4/7 at bet365.

Draw – 13/5 at bet365.

Bournemouth are teetering on the edge of relegation, three points adrift at the time of writing. At worst, they will be four points from safety by the time they kick-off. Should West Ham and Watford draw on Friday, Bournemouth will need at least a point against Southampton to keep their hops alive. Due to their inferior goal difference, that may well be the case regardless of Friday night’s result.

Southampton are in a far less precarious position having gone five unbeaten to lift them to twelfth. The Saints can finish anywhere between fourteenth and tenth with two games remaining.

Ralph Hassenhuttl’s side have won six of their seven games against the current bottom four with the exception being a 3-1 loss to Bournemouth back September 2019. Nathan Aké, Callum Wilson, and Harry Wilson were each on the scoresheet that day.

Bournemouth are desperate for points but Southampton are no pushovers. The Saints have scored in each of their last five, including against both Manchester sides with Danny Ings up to 20 league goals. The Cherries have improved recently but may have to settle for a solitary point.

Tottenham vs Leicester Prediction

Leicester to Win – 21/10 at bet365.

Jamie Vardy to Score – 6/5 with bet365.

Tottenham have lost just one of their last eight league games after picking up a 3-1 win over the previously in-form Newcastle. Wins over Everton and rivals, Arsenal, have lifted Spurs to seventh, with Wolves now in their sights. Three points against Leicester would push Mourinho’s side against his Portuguese compatriot.

Leicester are hanging on to a Champions League spot after an unspectacular run of form. Their 4-1 collapse against Bournemouth could prove crucial but for now a solid 2-0 win over Sheffield United keeps things in their hands. A positive result here could set up a mouth-watering top four decider against Manchester United on the final day.

The Foxes have just three wins in their last ten league games but have scored in each of their last five. They notched twice last time out against one of the Premier League’s most rigid defences with Jamie Vardy unlucky not to add to his goal tally.

Despite Tottenham’s run of good results, they have been less than impressive in some of those games and are unlikely to come out on top here.

Manchester United vs Chelsea

Manchester United to Win – 11/8 at bet365.

Manchester United have been in fantastic form, continuing where they left off before the restart. The Red Devils are unbeaten in eight competitive games in June and July, winning six of those. Four clean sheets and at least two goals scored in each game shows the kind of rampant form Solskjaer’s side are in.

Chelsea haven’t been quite so impressive, losing to West Ham and Sheffield United and conceding three in each since the restart. The Blues have, however, won every other match including a 2-1 Premier League win over Manchester City and a 1-0 FA Cup Quarter-Final victory over Leicester.

This will be the fourth consecutive year that these two sides have faced each other in the FA Cup. Chelsea won in 2017 and 2018 but were knocked out in 2019. In the league, Manchester United did the double over the Blues with an opening weekend 4-0 win and a 2-0 away win in February.

Chelsea have drawn two and lost four of their previous six meetings with Manchester United and have conceded eight goals to West Ham, Crystal Palace and Sheffield United in July. Lampard will have to get his tactics spot on to stop this in-form United side.
