Premier League Predictions for New Year’s Day: Everton v West Ham & Man United v Aston Villa

Everton betting tips

There are just two New Year’s Day 2021 Premier League fixtures starting with Everton hosting West Ham before Manchester United look to go level on points with Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table.

Everton’s match with Manchester City was postponed earlier this week so they have had an extended rest ahead of this match, meaning the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Michael Keane should be fully fit after playing alomst every minute of their matches so far.

In the other game, United have the chance to join Liverpool at the top of the pile after getting past Wolves with an injury time winning goal from Marcus Rashford earlier this week.

Everton vs West Ham Prediction

Under 2.5 Goals – 21/20 with BetVictor

Five of Everton’s last six games have featured under 2.5 goals. The Toffees have managed three clean sheets from their last four as they continued their strong end of year form.

West Ham’s games haven’t been as consistently low scoring but two under 2.5-goal matches from their last four and a 0-0 draw with Southampton suggests this game could follow a similar pattern.

Michail Antonio returned from injury with an appearance off the bench in the aforementioned stalemate but it may be too soon to see with Hammers’ forward starting here.

Manchester United vs Aston Villa Prediction

Anwar El Ghazi Anytime Scorer – 7/2 with Paddy Power

Unless you’re an Aston Villa fan, you could be forgiven for missing El Ghazi’s recent hot streak. The Villa winger has scored five goals in his last five Premier League games, netting in four of them. Five of Villa’s last eight league goals have been scored by the Dutchman.

Manchester United are unbeaten in nine league games and have climbed to second in the league. Despite this, the Red Devils are still prone to conceding goals on a regular basis, having conceded in six of those games at an average of over one per game.
