Chelsea vs Manchester City

Two of the main favourites for the title, according to many bookies, go head to head on Saturday. It is the first day of the match week, so what a way to start the weekend! Chelsea are in impressive form, having won 4 of their last 5 games in all competitions, drawing just one with Liverpool on the way.

Manchester City are in the same form, having drawn one game against Southampton last week. Last season at Stamford Bridge, the Citizens ran riot, as they outclassed the Blues 3-1, but this is a game that will surely be competitive. It will be interesting to see how Dias will cope with Lukaku, and this game can go either way, but we will back the home side to just edge this one.

Score Prediction: Chelsea 2-1 Manchester City (10/1 – Bet)

Manchester United vs Aston Villa

Manchester United and Aston Villa are two teams that spent a lot of money in the summer transfer window, so much is expected of them this season. The Red Devils are flying high at the moment, after David de Gea’s heroics against West Ham last weekend, when he saved a last-gasp penalty from Mark Noble to secure the three points.

Aston Villa seem to finally stabilize, as they were impressive against Everton last week, winning 3-0. They haven’t won at Old Trafford since a 1-0 win in 2009, so there is a bit of hoodoo with them in this stadium. We don’t expect that to change this weekend, as United will have too much for the visitors.

Score Prediction: Manchester United 3-1 Aston Villa (11/1 – Bet)

Everton vs Norwich

Everton started the new season very promisingly, and new manager Rafa Benitez seemed to have found the winning formula at Goodison Park. However, two straight defeats against Aston Villa in the Premier League and QPR in the EFL Cup served as a bit of a reality check for the Blues.

Norwich are desperate to get the first points in the season, but judging by the performances they have put so far, they are far away from it. They sit rock bottom with no points and only two goals scored, and we don’t see how that will change against Everton.

Score Prediction: Everton 2-0 Norwich (7/1 – Bet)

Leeds vs West Ham

The home side are still searching for their first win of the campaign, and it has been an underwhelming start of the season for them. Much more was expected from Marcelo Bielsa’s team after last season’s impressive campaign.

They are up against a West Ham side who will be hurt from the defeat against Manchester United last weekend. Last season the Hammers did the double against Leeds, and they will be confident going into this game, but we expect Leeds to use their home support and finally get their first win.

Score Prediction: Leeds 1-0 West Ham (14/1 – Bet)

Leicester vs Burnley

More was expected from both sides so far this season, as Leicester have just collected 6 points from their first five games, and Burnley are yet to record their first win, as they sit 19th in the table, having got just one point so far.

History is not on Sean Dyche’s men as well, as the last win at King Power came in 2007 when both teams were competing in the Championship. We don’t think that there will be any major upsets on Saturday, so Leicester should get the three points.

Score Prediction: Leicester 2-0 Burnley (8/1 – Bet)

Watford vs Newcastle

Alarm bells are ringing at Newcastle for a long time, and recent results do them no favour. They are yet to record their first win of the season, and it doesn’t seem that they will get it anytime soon. The problems are much deeper than what we see on the field, so it is a tough period in their history.

Watford have started the season pretty decent, and they haven’t lost against Newcastle in their last four games, and they will be high on confidence having won their last game away at Norwich. Watford look much more stable than Newcastle, so this should be a no-brainer.

Score Prediction: Watford 2-0 Newcastle (11/1 – Bet)

Brentford vs Liverpool

We finish Saturday’s program with a game that should be very exciting. Brentford are the neutrals’ favourite team at the moment, that is for sure, as they operate on a small budget, yet they yield impressive results. They will be flying as they outclassed Wolves last week in the Premier League, and destroyed Oldham in the midweek in the EFL Cup.

Liverpool, however, will be a different type of test for them. Jurgen Klopp’s side are firing on all cylinders and they don’t look like stopping. They have conceded only one goal so far this season, and they look like going from strength to strength. It won’t be a walk in the park for them on Saturday, but they will get the job done.

Score Prediction: Brentford 1-2 Liverpool (8/1 – Bet)
