Manchester City vs Arsenal

What better way to start your Saturday than an early kick-off between two of the traditional big 6? Manchester City have bounced back from a disappointing defeat on their opening fixture against Tottenham with a resounding 5-0 thumping of Norwich.

Arsenal, on the other hand, seem to be going downhill. They have lost their opening two games without scoring a goal, which is their worst start to a league campaign in their 118-year history. The League Cup win on Wednesday will restore a little confidence but alarm bells are ringing at the Emirates, and this probably is the worst time to face a high-flying side like Manchester City.

Arsenal haven’t won at the Etihad since 2015, and this is probably not the fixture that will see that change. We back Manchester City to show their superiority against the Gunners, and all the stats point at a comfortable home win, which will increase the pressure on Mikel Arteta’s side.

Score Prediction: Manchester City 3-0 Arsenal (8/1 with SBK)

Betting Tip: Man City to score over 2.5 goals (23/20 with MansionBet)

Aston Villa vs Brentford

Both teams go into this game with a good level of confidence. Aston Villa secured themselves a dominant 2-0 win over Newcastle, while Brentford go into this game on the back of a 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace, which means they have 4 points from their opening two games, a scenario which they would have fancied before the season.

Aston Villa still seem a bit shaky, as they have had so many changes during this transfer period, and Brentford will be looking to exploit that. Their star striker Ivan Toney still hasn’t opened his account in the Premier League, so he will be hungry for goals. However, we expect the home side to edge this one and inflict the first defeat of the season for Brentford.

Score Prediction: Aston Villa 2-1 Brentford (9/1 with MansionBet)

Betting Tip: Both teams to score (4/5 with bet365)

Brighton vs Everton

Both teams go into this game high on confidence from their recent results. Brighton surprised many with their start, collecting 6 points from their two games, while Everton got a win against Southampton on the opening day, and drew 2-2 against Leeds last week.

Brighton are known for their attacking football, and they seem to have found the missing piece from last season – goals. Everton, on the other hand, look solid under the guidance of Rafael Benitez, so we are set for a game with two opposite wins. We will go for a draw here, and probably both teams wouldn’t be disappointed with such a result.

Score Prediction: Brighton 1-1 Everton (31/4 with MansionBet)

Betting Tip: Draw (11/5 with bet365)

Newcastle vs Southampton

Newcastle seem to be in trouble, as they get worse with each year in the Premier League. They lost both of their games so far in the season, and they don’t seem like winning either. Steve Bruce must find a solution to this situation, and it needs to be quick.

Southampton suffered a disappointing defeat on the opening day of the campaign but fought back to earn themselves a draw against Manchester United last week. They seem like they struggle for goals since they lost their star striker Danny Ings, so this is a game that will be defined by small margins. With the home support on their side, we back Newcastle to finally register their first win of the campaign.

Score Prediction: Newcastle 1-0 Southampton (10/1 with bet365)

Betting Tip: Under 2.5 goals (11/10 with Betfred)

Norwich vs Leicester

Norwich didn’t get any favour from the fixture list, as they faced both Manchester City and Liverpool on the opening games of the campaign. They lost both games without scoring a goal, and now they have another difficult game coming up.

Leicester will be looking to finally break into the top-four this season after disappointing the previous two campaigns, where they missed out on the Champions League in the last game of the season. They were not helped by their below-par performance against West Ham, who thumped them 4-1 on Monday night. However, we back them to bounce back against a struggling Norwich side.

Score Prediction: Norwich 1-3 Leicester (14/1 with bet365)

Betting Tip: Leicester win and BTTS (13/5 with William Hill)

West Ham vs Crystal Palace

West Ham seem to continue the good work they have done last season, and if their early results suggest something, it is another good season for David Moyes’ side. They have won their opening two games of the campaign scoring 4 goals in each game and dominating the play.

As expected, Crystal Palace are struggling at the moment with so many changes happening during the transfer period there, and they have only got one point from their opening fixtures, without them scoring a goal yet. This could be a long season for Vieira’s side, and West Ham will be full of confidence going into this game.

Score Prediction: West Ham 3-0 Crystal Palace (13/1 with SBK)

Betting Tip – West Ham to win to nil (7/4 with MansionBet)

Liverpool vs Chelsea

Another spicy encounter awaits on Wednesday, as two teams that will aim for the title going head to head in the last Saturday game of match week 3. Liverpool seem to have left last season’s inconsistent form behind them, as they secured two comfortable wins without conceding a goal so far.

Chelsea have been equally impressive, they also won two games without conceding a goal, and the arrival of Romelu Lukaku seem to have done the trick for them. Expect a fierce encounter when Lukaku and Van Dijk face each other. This is a game that can go both ways, but we’ll go for a high-scoring draw.

Score Prediction: Liverpool 2-2 Chelsea (14/1 with bet365)

Betting Tip: Draw (12/5 with Betfred)

Burnley vs Leeds

Sunday’s games start with an encounter of two teams that have had below-par performances and results so far in the Premier League. Burnley lost both of their games so far, scoring only one goal in the process.

Leeds were destroyed 5-1 against Man Utd on the opening day, but they managed to put a solid performance against Everton which ended in a draw. Both teams will be nervous going into this game, as a defeat would mean more pressure on any of them, but we think Leeds will just edge this one and pile more pressure on Sean Dyche’s men.

Score prediction: Burnley 0-1 Leeds (10/1 with bet365)

Betting Tip: Leeds to win (5/4 with bet365)

Tottenham vs Watford

People were not expecting much from Spurs this season, especially with the change of manager, and the whole drama surrounding Harry Kane during the summer. However, they have managed to record two impressive victories against Manchester City and Wolves, which brought them level on points with Liverpool and Chelsea at the top of the table.

Watford were disappointing against Brighton, and more was expected from them after their lively performance and win against Aston Villa on the opening day. Spurs are flying at the moment, so anything other than a home win will be a surprise.

Score Prediction: Tottenham 2-0 Watford (6/1 with bet365)

Betting Tip: Harry Kane to score first (11/4 with Betfred)

Wolves vs Manchester United

Wolves seem to be going downhill, and it is a path that started last season, and now it seems to be accelerating. They have lost both games so far this season, and they are yet to score a goal. Their new manager Lage needs to find solutions quickly.

Manchester United didn’t get the win they were expected to against Southampton, but their away record is impressive, so they should have more than enough to beat a struggling Wolves side. Backing the Red Devils to get the job done at Molineux seems like a no-brainer.

Score Prediction: Wolves 0-2 Manchester United (8/1 with Bet Victor)

Betting Tip: Man United to win (4/5 with Bet Victor)
