Werder Bremen vs RB Leipzig Betting Tips

Werder Bremen have been terrific entertainment so far this season. The green and whites lost their opening two games of the season, but they have bounced back, and have been scoring goals for fun. At the other end of the pitch, they look a little suceptible, and they could be in for a tough afternoon with Timo Werner and Emil Forsberg up against them.

Werder have been dealt a blow with the news that Yuya Osaka has been ruled out for 4-6 weeks, and he’s been crucial to their success in the final third so far this campaign. Josh Sargent is his likely replacement with the youngster already off the mark having found the net against Augsburg.

Osaka is one of a number of absentees who won’t feature in this tie with the likes of Omer Toprak and Milos Veljkovic both out. With Niklas Moisander also a doubt for this game, that could potentially leave them vulnerable at the back, and RB Leipzig are likely to find joy in this game.

The hosts did beat RB Leipzig at the end of last season, and they’ll be hoping to capitalise on the visitors midweek escapades in Europe. Julien Nagelsmann’s side boast the meanest defence in the division, yet they’ve conceded in each of their last three Bundesliga games, and they’ll come up against a formidable attack here.

The former Hoffenheim boss has played down expectations this season by reminding fans that RB Leipzig are a young side, who will take time to develop, however they’ve made a decent start to the season, and sit a point above Dortmund at the summit.

The visitors should win this, and despite their midweek trip to Portugal, they should have enough in the tank. Werder have done well recently, but they’ve only beat Union Berlin and Augsburg by a single goal, and this is a far stiffer challenge. At home, Werder are always good for a goal, and I expect them to notch once again. RB Leipzig Win and Both Teams to Score is 17/10 with William Hill and looks a great option.

As expected, Timo Werner is catching the eye once again. The 23-year old has once again been linked with Liverpool, but he remains in southern Germany for now, and he comes off the back of a sensational performance in Portugal.
