Premier League Betting Tips: Predictions for the Matches in the Top 4 Race

Leicester vs Manchester United Predictions

Leicester have had a fantastic season, of that there is little doubt. If you had offered their fans the chance to be in contention for a top-four spot on the final day at the start of the season, they would have taken it in a heartbeat.

Nevertheless, Leicester have had a torrid second half of the season and are in danger of losing a previously secure-looking Champions League spot. Brendan Rodgers’ side have won just two of their eight fixtures since the restart and have failed to beat a top-six rival all season.

Meanwhile, Manchester United have been on their longest unbeaten run of their Premier League season. The Red Devils have not lost since the restart and have extended their undefeated streak to 13 games.

The Foxes are going to have to get over their top-six hoodoo if they are to make the top four. On the bright side for Leicester fans, they have lost just three home games in the league, two of which were against the top two.

 

Chelsea vs Wolves Predictions

Chelsea head into their final league fixture knowing that a point will be enough to seal Champions League qualification regardless of results elsewhere. Wolves come into this game with a one-point lead on Tottenham and will need to equal or better their result to confirm a Europa League spot.

The Blues missed the chance to confirm their top-four status in the week after losing 5-3 to Liverpool. That defeat was their fifth of the league season against a top-six opponent. Chelsea have won two and drawn two of those fixtures, most notably beating their weekend opponents 5-2 back in September.

Wolves also have a mixed record against the top sides, picking up two wins (each against Manchester City), four draws, and three losses against the sides currently above them.

Whilst Wolves have a good defensive record, Chelsea haven’t failed to score since mid-February. Their reverse fixture indicates that Chelsea can find a way through once again. Wolves have only been involved in two games where both teams have scored in their last 13.

 

Crystal Palace vs Tottenham Predictions

Spurs need to better Wolves’ result to climb to sixth and guarantee Europa League football next season. Failing to do will leave them 7^th, and at the mercy of North London rivals, Arsenal. If Gunners win the FA Cup final against Chelsea, they would take Tottenham’s spot in the Europa League.

Tottenham’s opponents, Crystal Palace, have lost seven on the bounce and slipped to 14^th in the league. The Eagles can only finish in one of two spots, 13^th or 14^th. In fairness to Roy Hodgson’s side, they have faced some tough opponents in that run, losing to five of the current top six.

Tottenham won their reverse fixture 4-0 back when Mauricio Pochettino was still in charge. José Mourinho has guided his current Spurs to four wins in five, with just one defeat in their last nine league games.

It’ll likely be nine defeats in a row to end the season for Crystal Palace as Tottenham put the pressure on Wolves to get a result against Chelsea.
