Reading vs Cardiff Predictions & Preview

These sides have both drawn a few matches recently and the same could happen this weekend. Neither manager will be worried about relegation from the Championship and a promotion push is equally as unlikely, so both teams might as well try and put a cup run together.

Reading have faltered after winning four matches in a row – they’ve picked up just one win in five (which was the replay vs Blackpool) and drawn three of those games.

Last time out they drew 1-1 with Nottingham Forest thanks to a late equaliser. They’re 15th in the league table but nine points above the relegation zone.

Cardiff won a thrilling replay 4-3 against Carlisle to get to this point in the competition and might have to settle for another replay in this tie. The Bluebirds have drawn three of their last four matches now and away from home their recent record reads W2 D2 L2.

There have been some crazy results in that time including a 3-3 draw at Leeds and 6-1 loss at QPR.

I’m predicting a close game in this match and both sides might have yet another FA Cup replay on their hands-on Tuesday week. Bet on the game to finish a draw on Saturday.
