The Tottenham man has signed a new contract and without Harry Kane in the side, he will be the main goal threat for Spurs and although we’re predicting a Manchester City win here, Son to hava a shot on target looks a good bet at odds of 8/11.  

Anytime Goalscorer: Riyad Mahrez

Mahrez started the Community Shield last weekend and was one of the most threatening City players so he’s likely to be used again here. He ended last season with a great run of form and scored in all three of Manchester City’s pre-season friendlies. He looks like the biggest goal threat for Guardiola at the moment and can find the net again in this one.

The Tottenham man will likely be up against Mahrez for this match and he had a poor end to last season, making quite a few mistakes. Spurs will be under the cosh for a large part of this match and that will apply a lot of pressure on the full-backs, where a lot of City’s play comes from. Cancelo will likely provide another big threat to Reguilon, increasing the chances of him getting a booking.

When Pep Guardiola’s team have a bad defeat, they usually bounce back with a good performance and it would be no surprise to see them put a few goals past a wounded Tottenham here. The pressure will be on the new manager straight from the off and without Harry Kane, they will be a lesser threat for sure.
