West Brom vs Burnley Predictions - 3/1 Bet Builder Tip

Fresh from another round of midweek Championship games, we head to the West Midlands where West Brom take on Burnley at The Hawthorns. I’ve picked out a Bet Builder and First Goalscorer bet for this big Championship clash. The home side West Brom come into this one on the back of successive away score draws against Huddersfield Town and Wigan Athletic. They will be left frustrated not to have won either of those having dominated possession in both but can take positives from it as they are now unbeaten in their last four league outings. Their issue seems to be at this early stage that they can’t seem to turn draws into wins, having drawn five of their opening seven Championship matches. They’ll need to turn that around if they’re to challenge for promotion this season. The away side Burnley however will come into this fixture brimming with confidence, having beaten Wigan and Millwall in their latest matches. They’re finally starting to show why they were my 12/1 Championship League Winners selection this year. They themselves are unbeaten in four, so we could see a cagey affair on Friday evening.

The last twice these two met in a league match both ended in 0-0 draws, however they were Premier League fixtures where neither were the most prolific of sides. They find themselves in the second tier of English football now and neither have been goal shy this season. Both teams to score has landed in 57% (4 out of 7) of Burnley’s matches, whilst the same result has occurred in 86% (6 out of 7) of West Brom’s games. Both sides like to play attacking football, so I expect both sides to find the net in this one.

I tend to stay away from corners when looking at bet builders, however I think this selection provides some value in this fixture. West Brom currently average 12 corners in front of their home fans this term, whilst Burnley currently average 5 corners on their travels. As mentioned both sides will look to attack and I can see plenty of corners coming in this one.

We would have to be rather unlucky for this one to be goalless at the break.

With both teams looking to dominate the ball, I can see some aggressive pressing tactics being displayed which can lead to gaps opening up with players needing to commit fouls to stop counter attacks. I can see referee James Linington being a busy man on Friday evening.
