I’m backing Luis Diaz to be involved in at least one Liverpool goal here, in the form of an assist or scoring. The Colombian forward has made 30 league appearances for Liverpool so far this season, scoring eight goals and getting four assists in that time. He is hitting a decent bit of goalscoring form of late, with two in his last three in the league. I think Liverpool will dominate here, so any of their front line are good odds for this selection, but I thought Luis Diaz added real value here, boosting this bet to 13/2.
Jefferson Lerma is one of the most persistent players for making a foul I’ve seen this season. In his 26 Prem appearances so far throughout this campaign, he has made a massive 39 fouls, picking up seven yellow cards in the process. As he comes up against an outstanding Liverpool midfield who transition from defence to attack very quickly, he will struggle between the lines, and I think he will be forced into a cynical foul or two here, meaning there’s a good chance he’ll enter the book.
