Sunday’s early kick-off sees Nuno Espirito Santo’s Nottingham Forest side travel to Brighton to face the Seasiders in what promises to be a fantastic lunchtime fixture. Brighton had a decent season last time out and finished 11^th, although they will have been disappointed not to achieve a top half finish. They are 1/3 to do that this time around. Forest finished 17^th last season, just above the relegation zone, avoiding the drop by just six points. They have started this season very well, however, and they are now 7/1 for the drop this term. If you fancy them to finish in the top half, it’s 7/2.

Brighton vs Nottingham Forest Predictions

Forest have had an excellent start to this campaign, coming into this one unbeaten in the league after four after a historic victory at Anfield last weekend. They have been fairly solid defensively, scoring one per game and conceding two in four. Brighton have had the same start – two wins and two draw, so only goal difference has the Seagulls ahead of Forest. I don’t think Brighton will use their home advantage here, though. Forest will come into this one full of confidence after beating Liverpool last week, and I don’t think they’ll lose. Forest or draw is my tip for the result here. Despite Forest being solid at the back, I do think Brighton will get themselves on the scoresheet alongside them. The home side have bagged eight in four this season, and have scored in three of their four home fixtures in all competitions this season. With both teams being equally matched based on league position, I expect this one to be end-to-end, and I think both teams to score is a good bet. It has been a great start to the campaign for New Zealander Chris Wood. The target man has bagged two goals in his four appearances so far this season, following his decent league return of 14 last season. In the opening four, he has managed seven shots on target, an average just under two per game. I think he’s great odds to have a couple here, and taking him to have two or more boosts this bet builder to 25/1. We’ve gone for just one player to be carded here – Nottingham Forest’s Ryan Yates. Arguably one of the most passionate players in the Prem, Yates uses his strength and aggression to get stuck in, and isn’t afraid of a 50/50. So far this season, he has picked up one card in four games. Last season, he was carded six times in 35, making a total of 54 fouls. I think there’s a great chance of him seeing yellow in this one.
