Arsenal vs Fulham Bet Builder Tip – 16/1 Prediction as Arsenal Stay Top of the League

Arsenal Jesus goalscorer odds

Arsenal are sitting in dreamland right now with the Gunners top of the league table just 12 months after almost registering the worst start in Premier League history. The club lost all three opening games in the 2021/22 season, conceding nine goals and not scoring a single one.

Now, however, they’ve eased past Crystal Palace and Bournemouth and scored four en route to defeating Leicester City 4-2 at the Emirates. Mikel Arteta’s side have clearly found a rhythm under his leadership, but with the impressive Fulham coming to town, the former Arsenal captain has a huge test on his hands.

The Cottagers have started the season in exceptional form and have not laid down for anyone so far. Fulham currently sit with one win and two draws after the first three games, and with Aleksandar Mitrovic carrying on his sensational goalscoring form shown last season, this London derby will be a tricky one for Arsenal.

ARSENAL TO WIN AT HALF-TIME AND FULL-TIME

What has been one of Arsenal’s most impressive feats so far in their three wins is how fast they’ve started games. In fact, in each victory, they’ve been leading at half time and full time and so far barely even gave the opposition a chance to get the ball moving with a relentless amount of pressure from the off.

Against Palace, Gabriel Martinelli scored after 20 minutes to give Arsenal the lead, before an own goal in the second half saw Arteta’s side take all three points and win both halves. Against Leicester at home two weeks back, a brace from star signing, Gabriel Jesus, saw Arsenal head into the break 2-0 up. They did, however, draw the second half 2-2, but the game finished 4-2 in favour of the Gunners with another goal from Martinelli and a first of the season for Granit Xhaka in the second 45.

Last weekend, captain Martin Odegaard spearheaded an excellent Arsenal attack as he scored twice inside the first 11 minutes in a game dominated by the Gunners from start to finish. William Saliba’s fantastic goal in the second half saw Arsenal win after the break too.

Against Fulham who are constantly trying to get on the offence themselves, I expect Arteta’s men to go out all guns blazing once more in both halves.

JESUS OVER 1.5 SHOTS ON TARGET

Jesus has been a revelation since signing from Manchester City, and to the prediction of many, the Brazilian has so far put down an early marker for the Golden Boot. The likes of Erling Haaland, Harry Kane and Mohamed Salah may end up rocketing ahead of him, but it’s in these games where Arsenal should dominate in which Jesus could rack up the goals.

So far, he is having 3.3 shots per game from three fixtures and 257 minutes on the pitch for Arsenal in the league. This has resulted in one shot on target on average from the three fixtures each game, but with two goals in his home league debut against Leicester, I am expecting the striker to turn up again.

Fulham looked solid in defence against Wolves and Liverpool, but as proven in the narrow win over Brentford, when they set off in attack, they often got overwhelmed with bodies in the box; this is exactly where Jesus will be a threat.

MITROVIC OVER 1.5 SHOTS ON TARGET

Who can’t do it in the Premier League? Mitrovic is on fire this season and he has so far already surpassed the tally of three he achieved last time out in the Premier League that saw Fulham get relegated. At the same time, after a penalty miss against Wolverhampton Wanderers two weeks back, Mitrovic should really be on four goals from three games.

The Serbian scored twice against Liverpool in the 2-2 draw on the opening weekend, as he netted a clever header and a penalty to match. He fired a blank against Wolves, but still has an average of 2.7 shots on target from three league games.

Arsenal will get on the attack, and despite two clean sheets so far, it’s likely that Mitrovic will get some chances to score again.

BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE

With the Serbian leading the line and Jesus at the other end, goals should come in. In fact, if Mitrovic had managed to convert the penalty against Wolves, Fulham would be level on points with fifth-placed Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Cottagers are looking fresh this time around, and they should get a goal.

Arsenal vs Fulham Predictions

Both teams to score

Arsenal winning at half time and full time

Jesus over 1.5 shots on target

Mitrovic over 1.5 shots on target
