I’m backing Aston Villa to continue their fine form with a win over Forest at home this weekend. The Villains have won six games on the bounce in all competitions, including 3-0 wins in each of their last three against Club Brugge, Preston and last time out against Brighton. Forest are in good form with three wins in three, but have won five of their last 10 league matches. Villa come into this on slightly better form, and I think the home advantage will count here and they’ll come away with all three points. I reckon this one has goals in it. Forest have scored in eight of their last 10 league matches, with 50 goals scored and 35 conceded in their 30 league matches this season. Villa have scored in nine of their last 10 league matches, with 44 goals scored and 45 conceded in the league this season. The last game between these two finished a 2-1 win for Forest back in December. I think these two are pretty evenly matches and both teams to score is a good bet. We’ve gone for two players to be carded here – Forest’s Nicolas Dominguez and Billa captain John McGinn. Dominguez has picked up eight bookings in 26 league appearances this season, with another yellow picked up in his one Carabao Cup appearance. He averages just under one foul per game in the Premier League this season. McGinn has made 42 fouls in 26 league matches this season, giving him an average of over 1.5 fouls per game. He has been booked on six occasions, and I think he’s good odds to pick up another yellow here.
