Aston Villa vs Tottenham Predictions

I think Aston Villa will come out on top in this one and progress to the next round of the FA Cup. The Villains are amidst a mixed run of form, losing last time out against Wolves after beating Celtic 4-2 at home in the Champions League. I think they’ll have too much here against Ange Postecoglu’s Spurs, who were hammered 4-0 away to Liverpool during the week. Spurs have won the last two games between these two, but that’s their only two wins in the last five against Villa. I think Villa will have too much for them here. I’m backing Marcus Rashford to either score or assist for Villa. The Manchester United loanee has been facing controversy all season, with current United gaffer Ruben Amorim excluding him from the squad because of his supposed bad attitude. That has meant he was free to leave the club, and Villa have secured his services on loan until the end of the season. We all know how good a player he can be on his day, and I’m backing him to hit the ground running at Villa Park with either a goal or an assist in this one. We’ve gone for two players to be booked, a midfielder from each team – Yves Bissouma and John McGinn. Both teams have strong, physical players in the middle of the park and I expect this one to be a real battle. Bissouma has been booked nine times in all competitions this season, five teams in the league, twice in the Carabao Cup and twice in the Europa League. He averages just under one foul per game. Villa captain John McGinn has picked up four yellow cards this season, all of them coming in the league. He averages over one foul per game this season, and I expect him to make a number of fouls in this one.
