Brighton vs Nottm Forest Predictions
I think this one is a close game to call, so we’re staying away from backing a result. I do think both teams will score, however. Both teams have scored in six of Brighton’s last 10 matches in all competitions. For Forest, it’s the same, with both teams scoring in six of their last 10. Both teams were on target in the last round for Forest as they were held to a 1-1 draw with Ipswich before progressing after penalties. In Brighton’s fifth round tie, both teams scored as they defeated Newcastle 1-2. I think both teams to score is a good bet here.
We’ve gone for two players to have one or more shots on target: Danny Welbeck and Chris Wood. Welbeck has scored seven goals in his 22 league appearances for the Seagulls this season, having 15 shots on target in that time, an average of over 0.5 per game. Chris Wood has had a strong season, finding the net 18 times in 29 league appearances, with 32 shots on target, an average of above one per game. I think both teams will create chances, and both strikers are good odds to have one or more shots on target here.
Ryan Yates is the man we’re backing for a booking here. The Forest midfielder is a passionate and aggressive player, which has lead to him being shown a card on eight occasions in 26 Premier League appearances this season. He has made 42 fouls in those 26 games, giving him an average of over 1.5 fouls per game. I think this will be a tough game for him here against a good Brighton side, and he’s great odds to pick up his ninth booking of the season.
