Chelsea vs Everton Predictions
I’m backing Chelsea to win here against Everton. The Blues are battling for a top-four finish, and with Everton having less to play for at this stage of the season, I think Chelsea will be more hungry for the win at home. Chelsea have lost only three of their last 10 in the Premier League, with just one defeat in five, coming against second-placed Arsenal. Everton have won just two of their last 10, with two defeats and six draws in that time. I think Chelsea will win this one at home.
I think there will be more than two goals here. For Everton, there have been two or more goals in eight of their last 10, with more than two in three of them. Chelsea have had more than two goals in six of their last 10 in the Premier League, and have scored 10 in their last five home league matches, taking their tally to 58 for the season. I think there will be goals here, and more than two goals is good odds.
Cole Palmer is the man we’re backing for one or more shot on target here. He has 16 goals in all competitions this season in his 38 appearances in all competitions – 14 in the league and two in the Carabao Cup. In his 32 league appearances, he has had 46 shots on target, an average of just under 1.5 per game. I think Chelsea will create a lot of chances here, and Cole Palmer is excellent odds to have one or more shots on target.
I think Abdoulaye Doucoure is good odds to be booked here. The Everton midfielder has picked up five cards in the league this season – four yellows and one red card. In his 29 league appearances, he has fouled 46 times, an average of over 1.5 per game. Coming up against the likes of Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez who are both very physical players, I think he is likely to make a number of fouls here, and there’s a good chance of him picking up his sixth card of this Premier League campaign.
