Manchester City to win

Manchester City are hot on the heels of table toppers Arsenal, and they’ll be looking to continue their fine form as they keep up their hunt to retain the Premier League title. A five point gap at the top is not too much for Pep Guardiola’s side to overcome, as we’ve seen how they can perform and, with Arsenal still to play at the end of April, they know they can’t afford to drop points before then as if they win each game between now and then, a win over the Gunners would see them go top with a month of the league season remaining. City are unbeaten in their last five Premier League fixtures, winning four and drawing one, while Palace have failed to win in their last nine, losing four and drawing five in that time. I think City will win this one fairly easily.

Phil Foden to score

Phil Foden has been a huge part of Pep Guardiola’s squad for the last couple of seasons now, and I think it’s east to forget, he’s still only 22 years old. The attacking midfielder has featured 23 times in the league for Man City this season, making 16 starts and seven substitute appearances. In that time, he has bagged himself nine league goals, and I’m backing him to add to his tally in this one. He scored first last time out against Newcastle, and averages 2.17 shots per game with 1.15 of those being on target. I think he will have a number of chances to find the net in this one against an out of form Crystal Palace side.

Cheick Doucoure to be booked

Cheick Doucoure has made 23 Premier League starts this season. In 23 matches, you would maybe expect a physical player to collect five bookings or so, right? Not Doucoure. The defensive midfielder has picked up a massive 10 yellow cards already in the Premier League this season, and I’m backing him to get his 11th in this one against a very tricky Man City midfield. He averages just under 0.50 yellow cards per game, and makes an average of 1.43 fouls per game. I think adding him to be booked gives this bet builder excellent value, and I think there’s a great chance.
