Man City vs Crystal Palace Predictions, 33/1 Bet Builder and Betting Tips
Man City vs Crystal Palace bet builder tips for Sunday’s fixture in the Champions League with a player to have 2 or more shots on target, two players to be carded and a team to win prediction.
Betting odds
- Man City are 8/15 favourites for the win at home
- The draw is 15/4
- Palace are 9/2 for the win away from home
Man City haven’t had the greatest of seasons by their standards and are sixth in the Premier League, 19 points off the top. They are just one point outside the top four, however, and are 8/11 for a top four finish.
Palace are in the hunt for a top-half finish and are just two points off 10th place. They’re 9/4 for a top half finish.
Man City v Crystal Palace Bet Builder Tip
- Man City to win
- Omar Marmoush 2+ shots on target
- Jefferson Lerma to be booked
- Bernardo Silva to be booked
Betting odds: 33/1 with bet365.
Man City vs Crystal Palace Predictions
I’m backing Man City to win this one at home. Pep Guardiola’s side need the victory to get into or put pressure on the top four, and their form coming into this one is good, with just one defeat in their last five. They go into this one off the back of a goalless draw against rivals Manchester United, after defeating Leicester 2-0 at home before that. Palace are also in decent form with no defeats in their last seven in all competitions. That said, I think City will have too much for them here and they’ll come away with all three points.
Omar Marmoush has been good for Man City since signing from Eintracht Frankfurt in January of this year. In his nine Premier League appearances since then, he has scored five goals. For Frankfurt, he bagged 15 Bundesliga goals in 17 appearances, also bagging four in six in the Europa League and one in the DFB Polkal. In his nine Premier League appearances, he has had 12 shots on target, giving him an average of 1.5 per game. City will have plenty of chances here, and I think Marmoush is good odds to have two or more shots on target.
The two players we’re backing for a booking here are Jefferson Lerma and Bernardo Silva. Lerma has picked up six cards this season, with five in the Premier League and one in the Carabao Cup. In the league, he has made 25 fouls in 26 appearances, an average of just under one per game. Silva has picked up seven cards this season, with six in the Premier League and one in the Champions League. He has fouled 21 times in 27 league matches. I think most of the match will be played in Palace’s half, and he Silva could be liable to foul and break up an attack before it gets started. I think both players are good odds to pick up a booking here.
