Spain to win

Spain started their World Cup campaign with an emphatic 7-0 win over Costa Rica but haven’t won since, drawing with Germany and losing to Japan. However, I think they’ll regain their winning form in this one against a Morocco side that they should be too strong for in this one. Morocco pulled off a shock victory against Belgium after losing to Croatia then going on to defeat Canada in their final group match. The Spanish are still amongst the favourites to go all the way in this tournament, and I think for good reason. I expect them to beat Morocco here and get themselves into the quarter final.

Morata to score

Alvaro Morata has scored three goals so far at this World Cup, scoring in each of Spain’s three group matches and I’m backing him to make it four from four in this one against Morocco. The Athletico Madrid striker has scored five goals in 12 La Liga games this season and averages 3.17 shots per game in the league, with 1.59 being on target. In the World Cup, he has averaged 3.88 shots per game with an impressive 3.23 being on target. He will have chances in this one and I think he is excellent value to get himself on the scoresheet again.

Sofyan Ambrabat to be booked

Sofyan Amrabat has been shown one yellow card so far at this competition and taking him to be booked in this one really boosts the odds on this bet builder with Paddy Power. He averages 2.58 fouls per match so far at the World Cup and will be in for a difficult afternoon against an excellent Spanish side. The central midfielder plies his trade in the Serie A for Fiorentina and has been booked seven times already this season in just 10 starts and three substitute appearances. I think there’s a real chance he could pick up his second booking of the tournament in this one.
