Reasons for Today’s Football Tips

Despite a very recent mini-slump in form, Leeds will hope for a return to winning ways in Championship action when visiting an out-of-form Birmingham team and that clash features in this Sunday Accumulator. Fleetwood and Portsmouth are also covered in League One as they continue to seek a promotion playoff berth while decent home outfit Plymouth have also been included from League Two. The final selection covers Motherwell hosting struggling Hamilton in the Scottish Premiership. Odds of approximately 14/1 will be available for the successful outcome of these games.

Birmingham vs Leeds Betting Tip – Leeds win.

Despite needing a very late equalising goal to earn a 1-1 home draw with Preston on Boxing Day and to remain winless in three matches, Leeds are still on course to claim automatic promotion from the Championship. Prior to those latest three games, United had won seven successive league fixtures and they now visit a Birmingham team which has won just once since the end of October. The Blues have secured just one point from their last four contests at St Andrew’s and Leeds could inflict a third successive home defeat upon Birmingham.

Fleetwood vs Bristol Rovers Betting Tip – Fleetwood win.

Since Graham Coughlan departed as manager, Bristol Rovers have earned just a single point from their latest two League One matches and a 2-1 home defeat by AFC Wimbledon on Boxing Day was a concern after a decent sequence of form in league action. Rovers now visit a Fleetwood team which enjoyed some good fortune on Thursday when winning 3-2 at Rochdale but which are a useful outfit at the Highbury Stadium. The Cod Army have earned ten points from their last four fixtures at the venue and Ipswich are the only visiting League One team to earn maximum points this season. A home win is forecasted.

MK Dons vs Portsmouth Betting Tip – Portsmouth win.

Amid signs of a recent improvement at MK Dons, just one defeat in four matches has been incurred by the team this month and beating Oxford 1-0 in their previous home game was encouraging. Yet a failure to win at Southend on Boxing Day was a setback and the Dons now face a Portsmouth team which has claimed victories against Ipswich and Wycombe in their latest two contests. Aside from a recent 4-1 loss at improving Accrington Stanley, Pompey have been much improved in recent weeks and they could seal a sixth win in eight League One games.

Plymouth vs Stevenage Betting Tip – Plymouth win.

With Graham Westley returning as manager, Stevenage recovered from a 5-1 hammering at Crewe to earn a respectable 0-0 home draw with Forest Green Rovers on Boxing Day. Yet the Boro have failed to win a League Two match on the road this season and now travel to face a Plymouth outfit which has scored at least twice in winning their latest four league matches at Home Park. Argyle also earned a useful 1-0 win at Cheltenham on Boxing Day and could earn another three points from this encounter.

Motherwell vs Hamilton Betting Tip – Motherwell win.

Although they may have earned a fortunate 2-1 victory at Ross County on Boxing Day when playing against ten opponents for the last thirty minutes, Motherwell are enjoying a decent sequence of form with five victories secured from their last six Scottish Premiership games. The Well will now be seeking a fifth win in six league matches at Fir Park when hosting a Hamilton team currently struggling for form. Out-of-form Hearts are the only team beaten by Accies since the beginning of October and they have yet to win a league game on their travels this term. Another away loss is likely for Hamilton.
