Reasons for this Tuesday’s Acca Tips

Champions League action returns this week and Atletico Madrid will be aiming to take advantage of the current indifferent away form produced by Bayer Leverkusen. However, the Spanish team have netted twice in both Champions League Group matches to date and when drawing 1-1 with Valencia at the weekend, it was a first goal conceded in six outings. Visitors Bayer Leverkusen enter this game seeking to avoid a third consecutive group defeat but a 3-0 loss at Eintracht Frankfurt on Friday evening is not a good sign as are 4-0 and 3-0 reversals at Borussia Dortmund and Juventus respectively this term. A home win for Atletico is predicted.

 

Queens Park Rangers vs Reading Betting Tip – Queens Park Rangers win.

Under the new management of Mark Bowen, Reading earned a first league victory since mid-August when beating Preston 1-0 at the Madjeski Stadium on Saturday. Yet the winning goal was netted in the 98^th minute and owed much to a goalkeeper error. The Royals now face a Championship game at QPR with the hosts claiming a 3-2 win at Hull at the weekend to follow a 4-2 home success against Blackburn. Yet the Wearside team have lost just one league fixture at the Stadium of Light since their relegation from the Championship in 2018. Visitors Tranmere recently claimed a 1-0 victory at goal-shy Coventry but they had previously secured just one point on the road and had suffered 3-0 and 4-1 losses at Oxford and Ipswich respectively. Sunderland may not be one of the in-form teams in League One, but they should be capable of winning this match.

 

Cambridge vs Grimsby Betting Tip – Cambridge win.

Three successive League Two losses during October including a weekend 4-0 home defeat by Leyton Orient suggests that the Grimsby players are currently short of confidence despite winning 3-1 at Exeter later last month. However, the Mariners now face a difficult away trip to Cambridge as the hosts returned to form by beating Exeter 4-0 at the Abbey Stadium on Saturday. United may not be the most consistent of teams and claimed some fortunate victories last month, but they could take advantage of the poor form of their visitors by sealing all three points.

The Railwaymen have netted seven goals in winning their last two games and are tipped to win this fixture.
