Bet Builder Tips: Young Boys vs Man United and Chelsea vs Zenit in the Champions League
The return of the Champions League throws up the first two ties involving the Premier League teams tonight and Manchester United kick-off against Young Boys at 7.45pm, before Chelsea host Zenit at 8pm.
Our bet builder tips have been in good form lately and after a couple of near misses we landed a massive 50/1 winner in the Birmingham vs Derby match on Friday night.
Tonight’s bets are more big odds betting tips and they are a great way to keep the match interesting throughout the 90 minutes.
Young Boys vs Man United Bet Builder
United are strong favourites to beat Young Boys here, with Cristiano Ronaldo expected to start his first match in the Champions League for United in 12 years. He is very short for an anytime scorer bet so Mason Greenwood gets the nod in this one. The youngster has been in good form this season and is lethal in front of goal.
Young Boys are a decent side and their matches are usually high scoring – both teams had scored in their last six matches in all competitions before their 4-0 win this weekend.
Solskjaer’s side will not sit back here and neither will the hosts, so we should see a lot of corners in this one. Manchester United have had seven corners in each of their three matches and five in their opening game of the season against Leeds. Young Boys are also good value on corners, they’ve had six in each of their last two matches and 4, 5, 7, 8, 6 and 12 in prior matches this season.
Young Boys midfielder Michel Aebischer had made three tackles in each of his last two matches and will be tasked with breaking up the midfield play from Pogba and Fernandes in this one. He’s already been booked three times this season.
Chelsea vs Zenit Bet Builder
Chelsea are a short price to beat Zenit at Stamford Bridge but we have still come up with a 40/1 bet builder. Lukaku will once again be the focal point up front and over 1.5 shots on target for the Belgian looks a good starting point against a Zenit side who have conceded goals in six of their seven matches this season.
The home side are expected to win this comfortably and even though Zenit are in good form, they struggle in this competition against the elite European teams. Chelsea have scored three goals in each of their two home matches so far and that should continue tonight.
The next two selections are for Zenit players to be booked and first up it is midfielder Wendal, who has been booked in two of their previous five matches. He will be busy in the middle of the pitch and is expected to make a good few tackles.
Next up it’s full-back Douglas Santos, who will be up against Chelsea’s strong right side – most likely to be Reece James and Ziyech or Havertz. The Brazilian averages 1.79 tackles per match and although he doesn’t get booked too often, he will be exposed tonight and will have to make a few rash tackles to stop attacks.
