Reasons for Tonight’s BTTS Tips

EFL action is covered in this Tuesday BTTS Accumulator which includes the Championship clash between Blackburn and QPR with both teams reliable in front of goal. League One games also feature with Accrington Stanley and Lincoln hosting attack-minded teams Peterborough and Portsmouth respectively. The final game involves useful home team Northampton welcoming a Scunthorpe outfit proving capable on their travels.

Blackburn vs Queens Park Rangers

Despite a mixed series of results during the past few weeks, QPR are still proving to be a reliable team in front of goal having failed to find the net in just one of twelve previous competitive matches. Rangers have already scored five and six goals in two separate games this year and now travel to face a Blackburn outfit unbeaten at Ewood Park since the beginning of November. A 0-0 Championship draw with Wigan is the only occasion in which Rovers have not scored a competitive goal during the same time period.

Accrington Stanley vs Peterborough

It has not been the best of starts to 2020 in League One action for Accrington Stanley with just one point claimed from four games but they have netted in each of their league fixtures from the beginning of December onwards. Stanley now welcome a Peterborough outfit which has scored six goals in beating both Wycombe and Rotherham in their last two matches. Posh can be guilty of missing clear goal-scoring opportunities as when recently losing 1-0 at MK Dons but they have scored most goals this season in this division.

Lincoln vs Portsmouth

Despite currently residing in League One mid-table, Lincoln have won their last five league matches at Sincil Bank which includes a 5-3 victory against league leaders Ipswich and the 2-1 defeat of Peterborough. Portsmouth are the next visitors to venue and they have netted in each of their league and FC Cup matches from the beginning of November onwards. Pompey can be vulnerable in defence as proved by 4-1 and 3-1 losses at Accrington Stanley and MK Dons last month but they have won their last six competitive fixtures.

Northampton vs Scunthorpe

Although they could only draw 0-0 with Derby in weekend FA Cup action, Northampton are still a formidable team in League Two action at the Sixfields Stadium. Seven of eight previous league matches have been won by the Cobblers at the venue with a 1-1 draw against Cheltenham prevailing in the other game. Scunthorpe are the next visitors and the Iron have netted in each of their league games on the road since the beginning of October with four victories included. Drawing 2-2 recently against both Bradford and Crewe is a positive sign.
