Reasons for this Weekend’s BTTS Tips

League One and Two games feature in this Saturday BTTS Accumulator with promotion-chasers Portsmouth and Sunderland renewing their rivalry from last term when a few goals were scored. Third-tier leaders Rotherham also host a Burton outfit generally reliable in front of goal, while action in League Two covers four useful teams in attack with Crawley hosting Scunthorpe and Port Vale welcoming Salford.

Portsmouth vs Sunderland Betting Tip

It has been a productive year to date for Portsmouth with seven consecutive competitive victories earned since a 1-1 New Year’s Day draw with Gillingham. Pompey have also netted at least twice in their last three games and now face their old rivals from last season when Sunderland visit Fratton Park. Although the Black Cats were denied a goal by Doncaster last Friday evening, they had scored eight goals in winning three previous matches and won at Tranmere during midweek. Sunderland are also unbeaten in league action since early December after their recent good form.

Rotherham vs Burton Betting Tip

After suffering a first League One defeat since early December when beaten 2-1 at Peterborough on Saturday, Rotherham returned to winning ways on Tuesday evening when beating fellow promotion contenders Ipswich 1-0. The Millers had netted at least twice in winning their last three league matches on home soil, and they now host a Burton team which has netted in all six competitive games during 2020 and which participated in a midweek 2-2 draw at AFC Wimbledon.

Crawley vs Scunthorpe Betting Tip

Before scoring a very late equaliser to claim a midweek 2-2 draw at Plymouth, Crawley had netted in each of eight previous League Two matches with both teams scoring in each of their six fixtures this year. After winning their last two games at the Broadfield Stadium, Crawley now host a Scunthorpe outfit which had failed to net in just one of twelve previous league fixtures until beaten 3-0 at Northampton on Tuesday. However, the Iron were reduced to ten players during the opening half of that match.

Port Vale vs Salford Betting Tip

Having stayed unbeaten and scored against decent opposition in each of their last five League Two games on home soil, Port Vale will hope to extend their useful recent form at Vale Park. Both Swindon and Exeter were beaten at the venue within the last two months. However, visiting Salford have netted ten goals in winning three of their last four league matches on their travels and completed a midweek 4-0 victory at Cambridge. Both teams have also scored in seven of the last nine league matches featuring Salford.
