Reasons for this Tuesday’s BTTS Tips

Champions League action features in this Tuesday BTTS Accumulator with unpredictable Napoli hosting Barcelona while in League Two, useful home team Cheltenham welcome a Northampton outfit capable of scoring on their travels. The other selections involve matches in Scotland with Motherwell and St Mirren playing each other again after their high-scoring encounter last weekend while Morton were involved in 4-4 weekend draw ahead of visiting Ayr.

Napoli vs Barcelona Betting Tip.

In preparing for this Champions League Round of 16 away leg, Barcelona hammered Eibar 5-0 in La Liga action with three successive league wins earned prior to that victory. However, it should be noted that Barca have failed to register a clean sheet in seven previous competitive away matches while hosts Napoli have scored in all five Italian fixtures this month. The Italian outfit may not be the most consistent of teams at the moment having been beaten 3-2 recently by Lecce on home soil, but they have failed to net just twice since late November.

Cheltenham vs Northampton Betting Tip.

Although Northampton have not been particularly reliable lately with three League Two defeats already incurred this month, they have been regular scorers on their travels. The Cobblers have failed to net in only one competitive away fixture from late October onwards and now visit a Cheltenham outfit proving difficult to beat at Whaddon Road. Five successive victories have been recorded at the venue by the Robins with only Plymouth denying them a league goal on home soil this term.

Motherwell vs St Mirren Betting Tip.

When playing in Scottish Cup replay action last week, these two teams featured in a 4-4 draw with visitors St Mirren winning the eventual penalty shoot-out. Motherwell will now be aiming for revenge and will hope to complete a seventh Scottish Premiership victory on home soil this season. Meanwhile, the Buddies are still facing the prospect of relegation but they have featured in four score draws already this month while losing 2-1 at Livingston in their other game. St Mirren do not win many games but they can be a capable team in attack.

Ayr vs Morton Betting Tip.

When entering the final five minutes plus stoppage time of their weekend home clash against Alloa, Morton were leading 4-2, but their defensive frailties were once again exposed when conceding two late goals to share the points. The Greenock team have now featured in score draws in all three Scottish Championship games this month with both teams scoring in their last seven league fixtures. Hosts Ayr have played just once this month when beaten 2-1 by St Johnstone in Scottish Cup action but they have scored in seven of their last seven league games while failing to find the net when beaten by clear leaders Dundee United.
