Saturday League One Betting Tips

Fleetwood vs Tranmere – Fleetwood Win

The Cod Army have made a decent start to the campaign and they will view this fixture as a hugely winnable encounter. They’ve won 75% of their matches at Highbury this season and have recently beaten Burton and MK Dons on the Fylde Coast. They’re averaging 1.75 goals per game at this ground, compared to just 0.75 per match for the visitors. Tranmere’s goal average will have been boosted by their 3-1 success at Stadium MK, however they bumped into a side in dissaray that day, who sacked their manager just days later. They lost to Wycombe on Sunday and are in cup action once again on Wednesday night. By comparison, Fleetwood will have had loads of time to prepare for this and will be confident of taking three points.

 

MK Dons vs Rotherham – Rotherham Win

We’ve already mentioned the hapless MK Dons, who have had a season to forget so far. Russell Martin suggested that his side were much improved in their display last weekend, despite going down 1-0 to Bolton. The Dons have been struggling to put the ball in the back of the net, and that doesn’t bode well against the division’s meanest defence. The Millers kept another clean sheet last weekend as they dispatched of Accrington with relative ease. pAUL Warne’s side have also won three away games on the spin and have managed to take three points from Gillingham, Blackpool and high-flying Ipswich in recent weeks. MK Dons may be improving slightly, but nowhere near to see off Rotherham on Saturday.

 

Wycombe vs Doncaster – Wycombe Win

The Chairboys have been excellent and are deservedly top of the table going into this fixture. Gareth Ainsworth’s side kept another clean sheet on Sunday as they eased past Tranmere and they’ll be confident ahead of this game at Adams Park. The hosts have conceded just one goal in five matches and have not shipped for over 270 minutes of football. They are extremely hard to break down and Donny may just find it tough to find gaps here. The visitors have only lost three of the last eight and are one of the more solid options in the division. However, they were arguably flattered by their 7-1 victory over Southend and have failed to win any of their other four away games this campaign.
