Arsenal vs Crystal Palace – Over 2.5 Goals

Arsenal did things the hard way in midweek as they came from 2-1 down to sneak past Vitoria Guimaraes at the Emirates. In the Premier League, the hosts have also enjoyed some high-scoring encounters with a 3-2 victory over Villa (again, coming from behind) and a 2-1 win over Burnley. They will be looking to bounce back from a 1-0 defeat at Bramall Lane on Monday night here. Palace won’t make it easy for them with the Eagles possessing a decent record against the bigger sides under Roy Hodgson. They’ve already seen off Manchester United at Old Trafford and looked impressive during their 2-1 victory at the London Stadium a fortnight ago. Last season, they won 3-2 here, and their have been five goals in each of the last two meetings between these sides.

 

SPAL vs Napoli – Over 2.5 Goals

SPAL may be in the relegation zone, but they’re always a tough proposition at home. Having already beaten Lazio at this ground, Napoli mustn’t take them lightly on Sunday afternoon. Fortunately for the visitors, SPAL tend to concede goals and they shipped two against Cagliari last weekend and were also on the wrong end of a 3-1 defeat to Lecce here. Atalanta came here and had to work hard to secure a 3-2 victory and the Partenopei won’t have it all their own way. However, they’ve been reasonably high-scoring on their travels so far this season (0-0 draw with Torino is the only exception). They’ve scored 17 times so far this campaign with 11 of those strikes arriving on the road. The last two matches between this pair at this ground have ended 1-2 and 2-3 and we could see another high-scoring contest on Sunday.

 

Rennes vs Toulouse – Over 2.5 Goals

Toulouse are yet to win on the road this season although they’ve been competitive in the majority of those ties. They drew 2-2 with mid-table Metz in their last away outing and have netted in each of their last three Ligue 1 matches. Their 2-1 victory over Lille last time out should give them plenty of confidence to attack Rennes in this contest and I expect them to find the back of the net. Their last three matches have featured 11 goals and this could follow suit. Toulouse have yet to keep a clean sheet on the road and that should be music to the ears of Rennes. The hosts have also failed to register a shutout at home although they remain quite difficult to beat. They beat PSG 2-1 here at the beginning of the campaign and were egded out by Nice last month (1-2). Both sides have registered in each of the last two meetings here.

 

Borussia Monchengladbach vs Eintracht Frankfurt – Over 2.5 Goals

Monchengladbach are the surprise early pacesetters in the Bundesliga and they are back at home on Sunday afternoon. Although they slipped up to Dortmund last time out, they’ve netted seven times in their last two home matches and they’ll be confident of putting a few past Frankfurt. Five of their last seven games have featured three or more goals and this is likely to go the same way. Frankfurt have made a decent start to the campaign and sit in eighth position. They’ve netted nine times in their last four matches and there have been exactly three goals in each of their away games so far. It finished 3-1 to the hosts here last season and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see a similar outcome once again.
