Genoa vs Udinese – Over 2.5 Goals

Genoa battled hard on Wednesday night, although it was all in vain as Cristiano Ronaldo’s injury-time winner left them firmly in the relegation zone. They’ve now conceded 11 goals in their last three games, although they do tend to be better at home. They beat Brescia 3-1 in their last match here, and they’ll be confident of getting something against lowly Udinese. They’ve netted in four of their five matches at this stadium with each of those games featuring at least three goals. There are real problems at Udinese and they’ve now shipped 11 goals in their last two matches. Despite a man advantage, Roma ran out 4-0 winners in midweek and they could be vulnerable here. They netted their first away goal of the campaign against Atalanta last weekend and they could be good for another one here. The visitors in terrible form and Genoa could easily bag the three goals themselves on Sunday afternoon.

 

Augsburg vs Schalke – Over 2.5 Goals

Second bottom Augsburg have been extremely poor this season although they arrive here unbeaten in two. They held Bayern to a 2-2 draw here and looked pretty dangerous going forward in that contest. They are yet to keep a clean sheet in front of their own fans and defending has clearly been an issue throughout the course of the season. Schalke have been in decent form this season, although they’ve slightly gone off the boil. They lost at in-form Hoffenheim last time out although they’ve already three past Leipzig and five past Paderborn this campaign. Schalke need to get back to winning ways here and they enjoy plenty of joy against this Augsburg defence. There have been ten goals in their last four meetings between these sides and this should be another entertaining 90 minutes.

 

VVV Venlo vs Feyenoord – Over 2.5 Goals

Second bottom VVV are struggling for form and these is far from the ideal fixture. Although they’ve just dispensed with the services of Jaap Stam, Feyenoord have a number of talented players and they offer a real threat going forward. The hosts have conceded at least three goals in each of their last four matches and every single one of their five home fixtures would have landed Over 2.5 Goals. Feyenoord were battered by Ajax last week, although they should be able to regroup in time for this fixture. Their two previous away games featured twelve goals and they’ve scored in all but one of their matches on the road. They’ve conceded 11 times in their last three away trips and although VVV aren’t the sharpest going forward, they will be confident of finding a way through. The Rotterdam side netted three times during their last visit to this ground back in April.

 

Lugo vs Rayo Vallecano – Over 2.5 Goals

Over the past couple of season, Lugo have been a side to avoid when it came to backing goals. The second tier outfit have always been shy in coming forward, but they’ve started to entertain this campaign. Last time out, they were beaten 3-1 at Numancia and they were involved in an entertaining 3-2 victory here two weekends ago. They’ve netted in five of their last six matches here, and only four sides have scored more home goals than them this campaign. Vallecano were excellent last time out as they cruised past Extramadura (3-0). They’ve managed to find the net in every single game this season although they’ve only kept a single clean sheet on their travels. Each of their last three matches have featured at least three goals and this could be a very absorbing 90 minutes on Sunday afternoon.
