1:10 Leopardstown
The 1:10 race from Leopardstown is a very wide open contest to start proceedings on ITV. It is a mares handicap hurdle and Willie Mullins hold yet another strong hand as he bids to continue his fine form from Saturday. However, I’m going to avoid the Mullins’ horses here and go for MRS MILNER EW. She is a very consistent sort who jumps well which will stand her in good stead in this type of contest. She is dropping down in trip but she has won over shorter distances and her stamina can come into play given the like fast pace they’ll go here.1:40 Leopardstown
The 1:40 is the first Grade 1 contest of the day and it’s a hurdle race for the juveniles over 2m. I think QUILIXIOS will take a lot of beating here. He has looked really promising in his two starts this season and I have no doubt he is the classiest horse in this race. He is a worthy favourite as the competition doesn’t look the strongest.2:10 Leopardstown
The 2:10 race is yet another Grade 1 for us to get stuck into. It’s a 2m novice hurdle race which will provide us with plenty of clues for the Supreme Novices Hurdle in March. I think APPRECIATE IT is the best of this bunch and I expect Townend to go from the front to ensure it’s strongly run. Appreciate It is proven over further but he shown last time out he has the pace for 2m. There is nothing in the line-up here that looks like they’ll be good enough to challenge. Ballyadam was comfortably held by him last time out and I don’t see that form being reversed here. Master McShee can chase the favourite home for the forecast.2:40 Leopardstown
The 2:40 race is a handicap hurdle over 3m and 23 runners head to post for this competitive contest. The one for me is JULIES STOWAWAY EW who sneaks in near the bottom of the handicap. This horse was 7th in the Champion Bumper last year so they certainly have the class to be featuring in a race like this off his current handicap mark. Prior to that run he beat Ballyadam comfortably in a bumper. He’s been a little disappointing in his first three starts but I can’t help but be drawn to him here given his bumper form and the fact he sneaks in this contest running off 9’13.3:10 Leopardstown
The 3:10 race is a Grade 1 for the novice chasers and we see an intriguing rematch between Monkfish and Latest Exhibition after they served up a Christmas treat. I think MONKFISH NB is the real deal and he’ll confirm that form here. He was gutsy when winning the Albert Bartlett last season and he’s took the step to chasing in his stride and seems to relish it. He jumps well and I believe he’s only going to get better. Latest Exhibition can chase him home again for the forecast.3:40 Leopardstown
The feature on the day comes up at 3:40 and it is the Irish Gold Cup, a Grade 1 over 3m. Only five runners are declared but it is still a very intriguing race. I’d favour Melon on this ground out of the Mullins pair and Delta Work could come back to form with Kennedy back on board. However, MINELLO INDO is a horse I love and I think he’ll take a lot of beating here. He fell last time out but all in all, he’s normally a very efficient jumper of a fence and I think he can put that right today. He’s a Grade 1 winning hurdler over 3m, he was unlucky in the RSA last year and I think the 3m novice chase division last term was a strong one. He’ll step up and win an open Grade 1 over fences here for Blackmore and De Bromhead.2:25 Musselburgh
The 2:25 race is a 3m novice hurdle contest that will be a slog on this ground after yesterday’s action. The one for me is THREEUNDERTHRUFIVE who continues to improve. I don’t think there is anything interesting in behind the favourite in the market and I think you’re getting the price on him to stay the trip. I think he will have no problem with it as he hasn’t been stopping over 2m5f.3:25 Musselburgh
The 3:25 race is a trial for the Supreme Novices hurdle for us to enjoy so it’s no surprise the contest is ran over 2m. It’ll be a reasonable test for this lot still giving the conditions. Again, THIRD TIME LUCKI NAP is comfortably the best of this lot and I can’t see how he doesn’t win this to be honest. He has the best form in the book by a long way and the Skelton team continue to bang in the winners. Banker of the day.Get SEVEN Free £5 Racing Bets
