Reasons for this Weekend’s BTTS Tips

One match from the FA Cup Fourth Round features in this BTTS Accumulator with a useful Millwall outfit hosting decent away team Sheffield United. Another two selections cover games in the EFL with Peterborough scoring four times in midweek and now hosting League One leaders Rotherham. Meanwhile, in League Two, Scunthorpe face Crewe with both teams among the goals recently. Goals are also expected in a National League relegation six-pointer clash involving Chesterfield and Fylde

Millwall vs Sheffield United Both Teams to Score

Having won four of their last five competitive matches, Millwall have become one of the in-form teams in Championship football and they have failed to find the net in just one game since late September. The Lions now host this FA Cup match against a Sheffield United outfit which competed bravely against Manchester City during a midweek 1-0 home defeat and which has lost away games only at Anfield and the Etihad Stadium this season. It is also worth noting that the Blades have failed to net in just one other game on their travels this term.

Peterborough vs Rotherham Both Teams to Score

After suffering a frustrating 1-0 loss at AFC Wimbledon on Saturday when they spurned several clear goal-scoring opportunities, Peterborough netted four times in a League One game when playing against ten Wycombe opponents for the majority of the game. Posh can be unpredictable in front of goal but they now host a Rotherham team which is scoring goals for fun but which has registered just one clean sheet since late November. Peterborough were comfortably beaten 4-0 that day and will now be seeking revenge.

Scunthorpe vs Crewe Both Teams to Score

Although they lost 2-1 at Portsmouth in midweek EFL Trophy action, Scunthorpe have been a reliable team in from of goal during recent weeks and have failed to find the net in just one League Two fixture since mid-November. The Iron now welcomes a Crewe team challenging for promotion and which has scored in every league match from the beginning of December onwards. Just one clean sheet registered during the same time period proves that the Railwaymen can also be vulnerable in defence.

Chesterfield vs AFC Fylde Both Teams to Score

Following a 3-0 loss at Solihull at the beginning of the year, John Sheridan left his post as manager of Chesterfield and two victories have been subsequently been recorded. The Spireites have also failed to find the net in just one competitive home match this season and now host a Fylde team that recently lost the services of long-serving striker Danny Rowe. Yet the inconsistent Coasters have scored in all but one away match this term and beside denying Barrow on away soil last month, they have featured in 4-1 and 3-2 scorelines in their latest two matches.
