Aston Villa vs Liverpool Prediction

Having scored in the opener in Liverpool’s 7-0 dismantling of Crystal Palace, Minamino can count himself unlucky not to have featured in any of Liverpool’s subsequent three games. The fact that Liverpool failed to win any should be enough to give Minamino the nod in the FA Cup.

Rotation is likely for both sides and as a result, a weakened Aston Villa presents a much more favourable opponent. If Minamino can put in a performance like his last, a goal is priced well at over 2/1.

Both sides will want to progress deeper into this competition but it is likely changes will be made to both teams. However, Liverpool don’t play for 9 days after this so Klopp can afford to play some of his most important players. Villa have another Premier League match in midweek so Grealish could be rested for that one.

Lawro’s Aston Villa vs Liverpool Prediction

Level on points in the Premier League, there’s not a lot separating these two sides. Wolves have endured a tough time since Raul Jimenez’s unfortunate injury and have won just once in the proceeding seven.

Crystal Palace have also been in a tough spell of form, having picked up just one win in six (against Sheffield United). Three draws in that period could become four in seven and there is certainly value in backing an even contest after 90 minutes.

Prediction – Liverpool to win 3-0.
