Brentford vs Leicester Preview & Predictions

Brentford have lost just two of their 13 home league games this season.

The Bees have lost one of their last eight league fixtures.

Leicester remain third in the Premier League after their emphatic midweek win.

The Foxes have lost just two games to opponents outside the top five and are undefeated against the bottom seven in Premier League.

Leicester to Win

Brentford’s home form has been impressive all season. Just two defeats in 13 home games in a solid tally in the Championship. However, Leicester have an equally impressive away record and are obviously playing at a higher caliber.

The Foxes have been through a run of poor form but their 4-1 win over West Ham on Wednesday looks to have set them back on the right path. Leicester can afford to rest players with such a strong squad and will be able to cope with the likely absence of top goalscorer, Jamie Vardy.

Kelechi Iheanacho to Score

As mentioned, Leicester will likely be without Jamie Vardy. Even if he is passed fit to play, it may be too soon to hand the Englishman the start. His replacement in midweek was the rejuvenated Kelechi Iheanacho.

The Nigerian has been in good form in recent months, contributing goals and assists on an increasingly regular basis. Iheanacho is likely to get the nod up front is looks a good prospect to find the back of the net once again. He is fresh off a goal in midweek and his confidence will be high.

Ayoze Perez to Score

Another likely scorer for Leicester is Ayoze Perez. The Spaniard has had a patchy first season with the Foxes but has looked good in spells. With Leicester likely to rotate, Perez should be afforded a reasonable amount of game time.

Like Iheanacho, Perez scored last time out against West Ham and has already demonstrated the ability to score when confidence is high. Perez netted a hat-trick earlier this season and will likely have penalty duties if Vardy is not on the pitch.
