Middlesbrough vs Barnsley Prediction & Betting Tips

Middlesbrough predictions betting tips

Middlesbrough vs Barnsley prediction and betting tips for the EFL Cup fixture on Tuesday 15th September from the Riverside Stadium. Kick-off is 6.00pm.

Middlesbrough opened the new Football League season with a 1-0 defeat against Watford on Friday night but will be hoping for a better result against a Barnsley side who avoided relegation by the skin of their teeth last season. They lost their opening match of the season 1-0 to Luton on Saturday and you can see our football tips for this EFL Cup match below.

Middlesbrough vs Barnsley Prediction

Boro were very poor last season and probably have Neil Warnock to thank for keeping them in the division. He is a master in the second tier but still has his work cut out. We simply don’t know how seriously he will take the Carabao Cup this season but they are fancied to scrape past this Barnsley side on Tuesday night.

Barnsley lost 1-0 to Luton on Saturday and it looks set to be another season of struggle for Gerhard Struber’s side. They picked up a good result in the last round of this competition, beating Nottingham Forest 1-0, and this could be another low scoring match with neither side failing to score in their opening round of league fixtures.
