Saturday League One Betting Tips

Rotherham vs Rochdale – Over 2.5 Goals

Rotherham were involved in one of the standout FA Cup ties of the weekend with the Millers coming back from 3-0 down to beat Solihull Moors on Monday night. Paul Warne’s side have been full of goals recently and have a number of players in-form. Freddie Ladapo is slowly beginning to repay some of his £500,000 transfer fee whilst Michael Smith and Matt Crooks have also been amongst the goals. They’ve also scored five goals in their last two League One games and will be full of confidence when they host an out-of-form Rochdale side. The visitors have seen Over 2.5 Goals land in each of their last seven L1 matches and they will find it tough against one of the division’s more free-scoring outfits. They’ve also failed to keep a clean sheet in each of their last six away games and have the third worst defence in the division. Goals are expected in this one.

Burton vs Lincoln – Under 2.5 Goals

Burton let down a number of accumulators on Tuesday night with their failure to beat lowly Southend at the Pirelli. They are back at home on Saturday afternoon and will be desperate to make amends when they host Lincoln. The Brewers are one of the lowest scoring home sides in the division and amazingly, have netted on just four occasions. Crucially, they’ve conceded just three times here with two of those goals coming from top four opposition. Lincoln haven’t really kicked into gear since Michael Appleton took over, although they remain relatively difficult to beat. They’ve scored just eight times on the road and could find it difficult to break down Nigel Clough’s men in Staffordshire.

Bolton vs AFC Wimbledon – Bolton Win

Despite being battered 7-1 by near-neighbours Accrington two weekend’s ago, Bolton have enough about them to bounce back here. The Trotters at home have already beaten MK Dons and Fleetwood and have become much tougher to beat since Keith Hill and David Flitcroft pitched up at the University of Bolton Stadium. They’ve won three of the last four matches in L1 and they should be able to see off the travel-sick Londoners. AFC Wimbledon barely threatened against Blackpool during their last away trip and also failed to register against Burton. They are yet to keep a clean sheet on the road and have collected just three points on their travels so far (the same as Bolton and MK Dons). They’ve gifted the lead to their opponents on thirteen occasions this season (9 times on the road) and if they repeat that trick here, they could find Bolton hard to break down.
