Braga vs Besiktas – Over 2.5 Goals

It’s top vs bottom in Group H with Braga host Besiktas in Portugal on Thursday night. The hosts won 2-1 in Turkey courtesy of two late goals and they’ll be looking to extend their advantage at the summit this week. They were involved in an entertaining 2-2 draw at the weekend with 10-man Famalicao and their defence has been far from perfect in recent weeks. They’ve only kept one clean sheet in their last five matches in all competitions and a shutout is far from guaranteed here. The Turkish side have conceded an awful lot of second half goals this season and concentration is clearly an issue. They did pick up an important 2-1 win at the weekend, but their away form has generally been poor. They’ve kept just a single clean sheet in all competitions since mid-January and could struggle to contain the Liga NOS side here.

Feyenoord vs Young Boys – Over 2.5 Goals

Our second betting tip is a match between two sides who rarely prioritise defending. Young Boys always score goals and they won easily in Berne two weeks ago. However, they could find it tougher in Rotterdam and were defeated 2-1 in Porto during their only away game in the competition so far. They come off the back of a shock defeat to Servette in the Swiss Super League at the weekend (3-0) and need a response on Thursday. They’ve conceded at least two goals in each of their last three away matches in the Europa League and haven’t kept a clean sheet since September 2016. A Jaap Stam-less Feyenoord did get back to winning ways at the weekend and that should give them the confidence to push on here. They desperately need the points (they’re bottom) and will look to play on the front foot from the first whistle.

Standard Liege vs Eintracht Frankfurt – Over 2.5 Goals

Standard Liege are having real trouble on the road, but their home form is sensational. The Belgian side have won their only Europa League tie at this ground so far this season and are yet to draw a blank in front of their own fans. They will be confident of continuing that record against Frankfurt on Thursday. The German outfit are playing well at the moment and come off the back of an impressive 2-1 win. They reached the latter stages of the tournament once again and despite their opening day defeat to Arsenal, they will feel confident of going all the way again. They edged past Guimaraes in their last match on the road, however this won’t be as easy and stopping the hosts from finding the net could be tough. They thumped Bayern at the weekend, prompting their opponents to make a managerial change and will be full of confidence in the final third.

Wolfsburg vs Gent – Over 2.5 Goals

Sticking with German vs Belgian opponents for our final selection with Gent’s trip to face Wolfsburg. Gent beat Standard Liege at the weekend and have now scored six times in their last couple of outings. They’ve netted in each of their last four away trips in this competition and the reverse fixture ended 2-2. Wolfsburg have really gone off the boil in recent weeks and are conceding plenty of goals. They shipped six to Leipzig in the German Cup before losing 3-0 at Dortmund on Saturday. They beat Ukrainian opposition in their last home tie in the Europa League and there’s every chance that their defence will buckle yet again. They’ve kept just two clean sheets at home in all competitions since mid-May and could find Gent quite lively in the final third.
