Nottingham Forest vs Newcastle Predictions

Forest have had an outstanding start to the season, with Nuno Esperito Santo winning manager of the month for October, with striker Chris Wood claiming player of the month. They are currently third in the Premier League, which is unfamiliar territory for them, and I don’t think they’ll lose this one at home against an 11^th placed Newcastle side.

However, I do think both teams will get themselves on the scoresheet. Newcastle will come out all guns blazing as they look to propel themselves into the top half, and they have players capable of creating a lot of chances and scoring goals. I think the Magpies will get on the scoresheet alongside Forest in this one, and that both teams to score is excellent value.

Chris Wood has been in excellent form. He bagged four goals in the month of October, earning himself the Premier League player of the month award. That accolade is richly deserved, as the big striker has been excellent of late for his side. He is the main danger man for Forest, and if they give him half a chance, he will have at least one shot on target in this one.

We’re backing just the one player to be carded – midfielder Ryan Yates. Yates bleeds Nottingham Forest, wears his heart on his sleeve and gets stuck in in every game. He had been carded twice already in the league this season, and will be in for a very tough afternoon against the likes of Joelinton and Bruno Guimaraes. I think he’s great odds for a card here.
