West Ham vs Liverpool Predictions
Liverpool have a commanding lead at the top of the Premier League table even without this game in hand but a win at the London Stadium would take them 19 points clear of Manchester City, and even closer to the Premier League title.
It is almost impossible to see how they will be stopped from lifting their first English title in 30 years but Jurgen Klopp will not want his side to rest on their lead. He will want the title wrapped up as soon as possible so his side can concentrate on the Champions League knock-out stages.
West Ham are in deep trouble and David Moyes’ appointment is getting more questioned by the day. They were knockout out of the FA Cup by Championship side West Brom on Saturday and are out of the relegation zone only on goal difference.
This should be an easy victory for Liverpool this week and that’s why the first of my West Ham vs Liverpool betting tips is for Klopp’s side to score over 2.5 goals. They haven’t been blowing teams away in recent weeks but West Ham are poor defensively and if Liverpool play anything like they did in the 4-0 win over Leicester on Boxing Day, the Reds should fire in a few goals. They will have to do without Sadio Mane for this match but Lallana, Origi or Shaqiri will come in.
With Mane missing, more goalscoring emphasis will be on Mo Salah in this match and he’s my first goalscorer tip on the game. He got the second goal against Manchester United recently to take his tally to 11 for the season.
West Ham vs Liverpool Betting Odds
- Liverpool’s odds to win – 2/7.
- Odds for a draw – 19/4.
- West Ham’s odds to win – 17/2.
Liverpool are strong favourites to win this match which isn’t surprising. They have only dropped two points all season and are still on course to break all kinds of records.
West Ham are 17/2 to get an unlikely three points, but with home advantage there is always a chance. However, they have lost three of their last four matches now and have only won one of their last eight at home.
Both teams to score will be a bet that interests people here and that’s 19/20 at bet365. Liverpool to win and BTTS will also be popular, it’s a 19/1 bet at 888Sport.
In the goalscorer odds our prediction Mo Salah is favourite at 10/3, Firmino is 9/2 to score first or 8/5 with Unibet to score anytime.
Alex Oxlaide-Chamberlain has been getting a run in the side of late and he’s 10/3 to score anytime against West Ham.
For West Ham, big money signing Haller is 18/5 to score anytime or penalty taker Mark Noble is 15/2.
West Ham vs Liverpool Prediction: West Ham 0-3 Liverpool
