Premier League Betting Tips & Predictions: Man City v Bournemouth, Arsenal v Liverpool, Burnley v Wolves & Newcastle v Spurs

Premier League betting tips

Bournemouth face the impossible away at Manchester City but are still clinging on to the hope of survival. Liverpool must beat Arsenal to keep the points-record dream alive. Elsewhere, a win for Wolves over Burnley would keep them in the hunt for a Champions League spot.

Bournemouth’s stunning turnaround against Leicester has narrowed the gap to safety but it will be a big ask to take anything against Manchester City. Meanwhile, the first dropped home points of the season means Liverpool need three wins from three for the points record. Read today’s Premier League predictions and betting tips below.

Manchester City vs Bournemouth Predictions

Manchester City to Win to Nil – 20/21 at Mr Play.

Phil Foden Anytime Goalscorer – 13/10 at Mr Play.

Man City won 5-0 for the third time since the restart as they brushed aside Brighton on Saturday. Guardiola’s side have won to nil in five of their seven league games in June and July, scoring at least three times in each.

Bournemouth managed four of their own last time out with an incredible second half against Leicester. Their 4-1 win was their biggest of the season and the first time the Cherries had come from behind to win in the Premier League in two years.

Those three points mean Bournemouth have now taken four from their last two and put them in touching distance of Aston Villa and West Ham. Eddie Howe’s side have already won against three of the top five this season and Southampton recently proved that Man City are far from invulnerable.

However, an injury to star defender Nathan Aké will really hurt the Cherries slim chance of coming away with anything. Unfortunately for them, another heavy win to nil for City looks the most likely outcome.

Any number of Man City attacking assets could find themselves on the score sheet. Having started from the bench in the last two, we’re backing Foden to make a start and bag his fifth Premier League goals of the season.

Arsenal vs Liverpool Predictions

Jack Grealish next club odds

Both Teams to Score – 4/7 at bet365.

Over 3.5 Goals – 6/4 at bet365.

Arsenal’s disappointing 2-1 loss in the North London Derby has all but ended faint hopes of Champions League qualification. The Gunners must now turn their attention to the Europa League but currently sit four points behind seventh-placed Sheffield United.

Liverpool’s long run of home victories finally came to an end at the weekend with a 1-1 draw against high-flying Burnley. The Reds now know that anything less than a 100% record until the end of the season will not be enough to break Manchester City’s Premier League points record.

Arsenal have a poor record against the current top four sides in the division. They have drawn two and lost four, conceding three in each of their three games against Liverpool and Manchester City. Meanwhile, Liverpool have been typically excellent against top-half sides, with their 4-0 loss to Manchester City their only defeat.

Arteta had managed three clean sheets in four before the NLD, but their defensive fragilities were back on show with a misplaced pass and poor marking from a corner costing them the game. Luckily for Arsenal fans, Liverpool have conceded in three of their last four and also look vulnerable at the back.

Burnley vs Wolves Predictions

Wolves Boly

Under 2.5 Goals – 8/15 at 888Sport.

Both Teams to Score – No – 4/6 at 888Sport.

As mentioned above, Burnley picked up an impressive away draw against Liverpool to earn themselves a point. The Clarets have been on a remarkable run, losing just once in their last 13 league games. The good form has lifted them to tenth in the table and with an outside chance of qualifying for Europe.

A side who are firmly in the mix for European qualification are Wolves. Back-to-back defeats to Arsenal and Sheffield United hurt Wolves’ chances but they have bounced back with an assured 3-0 win over Everton. If Espirito Santo can take six points from his next two, he could set up a final day decider against Champions League hopefuls Chelsea.

Clean sheets look to be the order of the day in this clash. Each of Wolves’ last seven games have seen a clean sheet for either side (five for Wolves, two for the opposition). Meanwhile, Burnley have kept three in five, with only seven goals total being scored in that period and no team scoring more than once per fixture.

Newcastle vs Tottenham Prediction

Under 2.5 Goals – 10/11 at bet365.

Newcastle surrendered a 1-0 lead by conceded their first two penalties of the season against struggling Watford. The defeat makes it back-to-back losses for the first time since February for Newcastle. Even still, the Magpies are in a comfortable 13th with little to play for besides pride.

Tottenham, meanwhile, recorded a 2-1 victory over rivals, Arsenal, to take them 8th and place them within touching distance of Europa League qualification. Spurs fans will be after far more than that next season but Mourinho has recently stated in a press conference that qualifying for Europe is very much on his and Tottenham’s agenda for this season.

Spurs have just one loss in seven despite not often looking at their best. They’ve only managed to score more than once on two occasions (West Ham and Arsenal) in their last nine league fixtures. However, with just two conceded in their last five, Tottenham have a good chance of seeing off Newcastle without too many fireworks.
