Portugal lost their last group game against South Korea, however I expect them to bounce back and win this one in what is the first round of knockout fixtures in this tournament. They scored six goals in their three group matches and I think they’ll get another couple in this one and advance to the quarter finals of the competition. Switzerland also only lost one of their three group matches, but I think Portugal will be too strong for them in this one and win comfortably.

 

Cristiano Ronaldo to score

In what is Ronaldo’s last World Cup, very few would bet against him scoring in any match of the competition, and I’m backing him to score in this one. Ronaldo has bagged one goal so far at this World Cup, and will be looking for more as he continues his hunt for the golden boot and looks to inspire his side to World Cup glory. He is averaging 3.56 shots per match at this World Cup, with 0.79 being on target. Portugal will create a good amount of chances in this match and I expect Ronaldo to take one of them.

 

Bruno Fernandes over 0.5 assists

Bruno Fernandes will be involved in a lot of Portugal’s attacks going forward and I think he is an excellent bet for an assist in this match against Switzerland. The Manchester United midfielder has two assists already at this World Cup and will see a lot of the ball in this one and will, as usual, play some defence-splitting passes and set up his forward players.
