FPL Gameweek 23 Tips – Premier League Fantasy Football Tips for this Weekend

Fantasy Football tips

Premier League fantasy football tips for this weekend’s round of fixtures in Gameweek 23. There is a double GW on the horizon for Liverpool and West Ham, so is now the time to triple up on Liverpool players?

It was a high scoring week for many in Gameweek 22. Watford and Everton prospects came good as both sides won to nil under their new managers. Here’s our look at the best FPL tips and advice ahead of Gameweek 23.

FPL Goalkeepers and Defenders Tips GW23

Six consecutive clean sheets make Liverpool’s defence impossible to ignore ahead of double Gameweek 24. Allison (6.1m) is a reliable pick between the sticks for those looking to replace the injured Fabianski or out of form Pope.

David Martin (4.1m) would have been a budget choice for a goalkeeper but West Ham now signed Darren Randolph, who could go straight into the team. West Ham’s first choice, Fabianski, is likely to miss a couple of weeks including double gameweek 23 where the Hammers play Leicester away and Liverpool at home. He’s worth consideration for anyone with a spare transfer.

John Lundstram (5.1m) hasn’t got the best fixture on paper but Aubameyang’s suspension increases Sheffield United’s clean sheet prospects. Arsenal still look shaky at the back and there’s every chance Lundstram could record an attacking return to boot.

Leicester’s form has taken a dip of late. They have recorded just one shut out in their last seven and visibly suffered without midfield fulcrum, Wilfried Ndidi last time out. There’s certainly a case to be made for moving on but Caglar Soyuncu (5.1m) faces a Burnley side who have scored just three goals in their last six games.

Bournemouth dropped to 19th in the table after their 3-0 humbling by Watford and looking every bit like relegation candidates. Diego Rico (4.4m) was dropped for that match in light of The Cherries poor run of form and may be worth cashing in on for anyone who acquired him at 4.0.

FPL Midfielders Tips GW23

Manchester City have been somewhat unpredictable this season. Capable of dishing out hammerings but also succumbing to shock defeats, you never know what you’re going to get with Guardiola’s side. For those willing to roll the dice, Riyad Mahrez (8.5m) was directly involved in half of City’s six goals ahead of a home tie with Crystal Palace.

Richarlison (8.1m) has quietly reached an impressive tally of eight goals and four assists during a torrid start to the campaign for Everton. With results on the up since Ancelotti took over, Richarlison is worthy of consideration. The Brazilian has scored in each of his last two and faces a kind run of fixtures.

Another side benefitting from a change in management is Watford. Ismaila Sarr has perhaps been the most eye-catching but Abdoulaye Doucoure (5.6m) has shown just as much promise. The cut-price midfielder has delivered attacking returns in each of his last three, averaging just under ten points a game in that period.

FPL Forwards Tips GW23

Danny Ings continues to be an FPL must-have.

Can Danny Ings add to his 14 goals this season?

Danny Ings (6.8m) scoring streak shows no signs of slowing down. The Saints forward has fired his side up the table and now has 14 for the season. His upcoming fixtures look likely to yield more returns.

Burnley have been poor in front of goal with just three goals in their last six. Chris Wood (6.2m) has two goals in his last nine and has been hauled off early on four occasions. The Clarets face three top-half sides next – they have taken just one point against top 10 opposition all season.
