Iceland vs Wales Predictions
We’re backing Wales to win as they travel to face Iceland in this one. The Welsh are unbeaten in their opening two matches and will be keen to lay down another marker as they look to top their group. Iceland lost 1-3 away to Turkey last time out, and I don’t think they’ll be able to turn it around here against a decent Wales side. That said, I am backing both teams to score. We’ve all seen Iceland can turn it on when they want to (sorry, England fans) and I don’t think they’ll be an easy push over for Wales in this one. They were on the scoresheet in their defeat to Turkey, and have scored in seven of their last 10 matches. Wales conceded last time out as they defeated Montenegro, so I think both teams to score is decent odds here. Brennan Johnson has been flying for Spurs this season, so we’re backing him to continue his form with at least one shot on target in this fixture. The striker has bagged three goals in his opening seven league appearances of the season, with seven shots on target in that time, an average of one per game. I think Wales will have a lot of chances here. We’re going for Owen Beck to be booked in this one. The young full-back, who is on loan at Blackburn from Liverpool, has a very aggressive yet effective style to his play. He has made three appearances for Blackburn this season and has already been shown a red card. He has also played once for Liverpool in the Premier League 2, being booked in that game as well. I think, if he starts, he’s great odds for a card here.
