The hosts have one foot in the European Championships next summer after a very impressive qualifying campaign so far. A group containing France was always going to be tough but Turkey are currently above France in the Group H table and can ensure qualification with a win or draw against Iceland this week. Their home form is fantastic with six straight wins achieved, including against France, and only one goal conceded.

Iceland only have a slim chance of qualifying now after a poor campaign and they’ll need to see a lot of things go there way, firstly, a victory in this match. It is almost impossible that France will only pick up one point from their last two fixtures or Turkey don’t beat Andorra. Luckily for Iceland, they are guaranteed a place in the Euro 2020 qualifying play-offs to give themselves another chance of qualification.

They’ve only won one of their three away qualifying matches so far and conceded four in France and another four in Albania. With Turkey’s formidable home record, it’s hard to predict a shock Iceland win here.

As mentioned in our earlier betting tips for this match – it is hard to see anything but a home victory here and so I’m betting on Turkey to win and book their place at Euro 2020 with a game to spare.

Everton forward Cenk Tosun has been in good form for his country and got the vital last-minute winner in their last home match against Albania. He’s BEST ODDS 15/8 with Betfred to score in this match and as long as he is in the Turkey starting line-up as I predict, this looks a good option for a bet on the match. The forward has scored five goals in six Euro 2020 qualifying fixtures so far and can fire his country to their place at Euro 2020 in this match.

The next Turkey vs Iceland prediction is going to be a correct score tip and we can once again work on the basis that the home side are fantastic defensively on home soil. They are yet to concede a home goal in this qualifying campaign. However, Iceland do have a good goalscoring record away from home and in their last seven games, they’ve scored exactly two goals in each of five of them. I can’t see them troubling Turkey that much here though and they did fail to score in France.
