EuropaLeague betting tips

The Europa League group stages return tonight and we’re once again looking for the best betting tips for the matches involving the UK and Irish teams including Arsenal’s tie with Molde, Celtic’s game with Sparta Prague and Tottenham’s trip to Ludogorets.

Once again the fixtures are split between two kick-off times and the times for tonight’s tip are as follows:

5.55pm:

  • Benfica vs Rangers
  • Ludogorets vs Tottenham
  • Rapid Vienna vs Dundalk

8pm

  • Arsenal vs Molde
  • Celtic vs Sparta Prague
  • Leicester vs Braga

Gerrard’s side to suffer first loss

Benfica vs Rangers

Benfica to Win – 10/11 with William Hill.

Steven Gerrard is rightly receiving a lot of praise for the sterling job he has done with Rangers. The Scottish side are doing incredibly well domestically and in Europe so far this season. Rangers have gone two for two with wins to nil over Standard Liege and Lech Poznan so far but will be up against it here.

Benfica are easily the best side in the group on paper and have also picked up six points, scoring seven in the process. The Portuguese side are likely to have too much for Rangers and are priced nicely at just under evens.

Spurs need to improve their Europa League form, quickly!

Ludogorets Razgrad vs Tottenham

Both Teams to Score – 4/5 with Bet365.

What are Spurs playing at in Europe? First, they went behind to Lokomotiv Plovdiv in the qualifying rounds before rescuing the game late on, then they conceded to both Shkendija and Maccabi Haifa, and most recently they lost to Royal Antwerp.

Spurs haven’t been defensively strong in the Premier League either so it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see Bulgarian champions, Ludogorets, finding the net. Even so, a Spurs goal looks inevitable and as such both teams to score looks like a decent bet.

Low scoring game in Vienna

Rapid Wein vs Dundalk

Both Teams to Score – No – 4/5 with Bet365.

Rapid Wein are currently level with Dundalk with neither side having taken any point from their opening fixtures. The Austrian side took the lead against Arsenal before falling to a 2-1 defeat and were unable to find the net as they lost 1-0 to Molde.

Meanwhile, Dundalk also took the lead in their opener before losing 2-1 to Molde. They were swept aside by Arsenal in a 3-0 loss last time out. Rapid Wein are the more likely winners but have score just once so far. A low-scoring game is the most likely scenario here.

Young Gunner a good anytime goalscorer bet

Arsenal vs Molde

Eddie Nketiah Anytime Scorer – 11/10 with Paddy Power.

The record scorer for the England u21s scored in Arsenal’s 3-0 win last time out in Europe. He’s like to see plenty of game time and Arsenal will be heavy favourites to make it three from three in the group.

Molde have taken six points so far but did concede first to Dundalk in the opening game. Arsenal should score a few and Nketiah is no doubt likely to be involved provided he’s on the pitch. At over evens he looks like a good shot at the goalscorer market.

Good chance for Celtic to get a win on the board

Celtic vs Sparta Prague

Mohamed Elyounoussi Anytime Scorer – 2/1 with Bet365.

Celtic’s season has not been going as well as their bitter rivals’. In Europe, they’ve taken just one point despite going 2-0 up against Lille. Elounoussi has scored in both fixtures, netting all three of Celtic’s Europe League group goals, including one against AC Milan.

Celtic’s opponents, Sparta Prague have lost both their group games so far, conceding seven in the process. Celtic are likely to score and given Elyounoussi’s European record this season, he’s likely to add a sixth to his season tally.

Goals on the menu at the King Power

Leicester vs Braga

Both Teams to Score – Yes – 4/5 with Bet365.

These two sides have an identical record thus far, having each picked up 3-0 and 2-1 wins. Leicester’s defensive record hasn’t been spectacular. They’ve kept shut outs against West Brom, Crystal Palace, and Zorya Luhansk and conceded in the other seven competitive fixtures this season.

Braga are a strong side who have caused English sides problems in recent years. Leicester may be favourites but they come up against a side who have won five on the bounce. Both teams to score looks like the most likely outcome, regardless of the result.
