• Everton have lost just twice in the league since Carlo Ancelotti took charge (5W, 2D, 2L). Their two defeats both came away from home at Manchester City and Arsenal respectively.
• Collectively, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison have scored 11 goals in the nine league games under their new manager.
• Manchester United are undefeated in three league games, their second-longest undefeated streak of the season.
• The Red Devils drew 1-1 with Everton in the reverse fixture at Old Trafford back in December.

 

Richarlison to Score Anytime

The Brazilian forward is on course for his best Premier League goals return this season. Richarlison bagged ten goals in the league in his debut Everton season and is just three shy with 11 games still to play this time around.

Richarlison’s goal scoring form predates Ancelotti’s arrival but his number have really picked up since the Italian took charge. The former Watford man has scored four goals in seven appearances, finding the net in four of his last five games.

Two of those strikes came against Manchester City and Arsenal, adding to goals against Chelsea, Liverpool, Leicester and Wolves (2) pre-Ancelotti. Clearly, Richarlison has no problem scoring against some of the league’s best sides.

Over 2.5 Goals

Manchester United’s last league game involved over 2.5 goals as they beat Watford 3-0. Across the season away from home, Solskjaer’s side have averaged just shy of the 2.5 mark with 2.38.

Looking at results against sides within three points of Everton at the time of writing, Manchester United’s matches have involved two or more goals on eight of the nine occasions, although only one game involved over 2.5 goals.

Perhaps more convincing is Everton’s recent form. Their last four games have involved 18 goals, averaging at 4.5 goals per game. They have both scored and conceded in each of those games, the last being a 3-2 away loss to Arsenal.

Everton have put together a run of good form in recent weeks but have ultimately fallen short on their two biggest tests. However, at Goodison, Everton have dropped points just once (conceding from two corners in stoppage time). Everton look like they have enough to get at least a draw against Manchester United.
