Leicester City vs Leeds United – Onyinye Ndidi to be carded/Both teams to receive a card (3/1 Bet365)

An opposition CM has been booked in 11 Leeds games this season. McTominay should’ve been sent off against Leeds recently and Harry Winks was lucky not to be booked against them in their last game. This is their first game under a new manager and they will look to impress. Despite Ndidi only receiving 3 cards this season, he is in the top 10 players in the league for both most tackles and fouls made per game on average. He was also the only Leicester player booked in the reverse fixture and is a decent price for a card here. The referee here is Coote who has given 66 yellow cards in 15 games this season, one of the highest average cards given per game of all Premier League referees. Leeds have also received a card in all 3 Premier League meetings between these sides.

Aston Villa vs Southampton – Lucas Digne to be carded (5/2 Bet365)

Although Digne has been close to a card in recent weeks, he hasn’t been booked since January. Here, he directly faces Southampton’s highest fouled player (fouled 1.6 times per game), right-back Livramento, a player that gets forward a lot. When Everton played Southampton earlier this season, Digne made 3 fouls when opposing Livramento, escaping without being booked. Here he will likely get stuck in, and with the referee being Peter Bankes, an official that has given 5.38 yellows per game this season, there should be a lot of cards given.

Swansea City vs Coventry City – Flynn Downes to be carded (9/4 Bet365 Boost)

An opposition central midfielder has been booked against Coventry in 15 out of their 33 games this season. Coventry’s attacking midfielder, Callum O’Hare, is the most fouled player in the league this season (fouled 92 times in 32 starts), giving opposition central midfielders a tough game. Swansea central midfielder Flynn Downes is a player that gets stuck in, being booked in 8 of his 27 appearances this season, making a foul per game on average. This shows that some of these fouls are likely cynical, leading to bookings. Downes also came on as a substitute in the reverse fixture and was booked within 10 minutes. Eltringham referees this game and he has given 85 cards in 20 games this season, a high average for a referee in the English leagues. Both sides received a card in the reverse fixture and with Swansea being the most fouled side in the league, Coventry are expected to receive a card. Also, neither side is high scoring, and all 3 of their recent Championship meetings have had under 5 goals. Adding both sides to receive a card and under 5 goals in the game boosts the odds of the bet builder to 13/5.

Watford vs Arsenal – Hassane Kamara to be carded (4/1 Bet365)

Arsenal’s most fouled player is their right-midfielder Bukayo Saka, who has been fouled 32 times in 18 starts in that position. In 5 of these 18 games, an opposition player directly facing Saka has been booked. Watford signed a new left-back Hassane Kamara in the January transfer window, a player that is now their highest tackling player per game on average, and fourth-highest for fouling stats. In his 8 starts, he has been booked twice, making 22 tackles and 11 fouls. The referee here is Craig Pawson, an official that has given the second most yellow cards in the league this season.
