Everton vs Newcastle – Abdoulaye Doucoure to be carded (27/10 BetUK)
Saturday 5th October – 5.30pm
Having come into the side as a defensive midfielder after Everton’s poor opening 3 games of the season, Abdoulaye Doucoure has played 90 minutes in two games from which Everton have managed to pick up 4 points. As a defensive midfielder, Doucoure has made 5 tackles and 6 fouls in 2 games, a great difference from his 2 starts as an attacking midfielder where he made 1 tackle and 0 fouls. In their last 5 Premier League games, Newcastle have faced a total of 11 central midfielders, and from these 11, 9 have been booked. This is mainly due to the presence of Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimaraes who is the most fouled player in the division, having been fouled 24 times in 6 Premier League games.
Aston Villa vs Manchester United – Manuel Ugarte to be carded (2/1 bet365)
Sunday 6th October – 2.00pm
Based on his stats at previous clubs, Manuel Ugarte is clearly a player that gets stuck in. From 134 career games, he averages 3.1 tackles and 1.9 fouls per game. Since signing for Manchester United, Ugarte has made 3 starts in all competitions, making 9 tackles and committing 10 fouls, picking up 1 yellow card. Aston Villa have played 9 games in all competitions so far this season, and in 8 of the 9 games, an opposition central midfielder has been booked. Most recently in the league, Sam Morsy was booked for Ipswich having made 6 fouls. This looks to be the perfect game for Ugarte to pick up another booking.
Lazio vs Empoli – Emmanuel Gyasi to be carded (19/10 BetUK)
Sunday 6th October – 2.00pm
With Mattia Zaccagni on the left-wing for Lazio, the players directly facing him are always at risk of picking up a yellow card. The Italian has been fouled 16 times in 6 league games so far this season, and in the 5 games against a back 5, the opposition right wing-back has been carded on 3 occasions. Empoli midfielder Emmanuel Gyasi has been utilised as a right wing-back this season, making 9 tackles and committing 11 fouls in 6 league starts, picking up 1 yellow card. The Ghanaian has picked up 29 yellow cards in the last 3 seasons and was booked when directly facing Zaccagni at the Stadio Olimpico last season.
Sevilla vs Real Betis – Jose Angel Carmona to be carded (11/5 bet365)
Sunday 6th October – 5.30pm
Sevilla right back Jose Angel Carmona is no stranger to a booking, having picked up 20 yellow cards and 2 red cards despite only starting 41 games during his career. The last 5 Seville derbies have seen 28 yellow cards and 4 red cards handed out. In Real Betis’ 8 league games this season, the opposition right-backs have made a combined 16 fouls, with 3 being booked. Carmona will face a tough test, directly facing Betis left winger Abde Ezzalzouli who has been fouled 16 times in 6 starts, as well as Real Betis midfielder Giovani Lo Celso who is by far the most fouled player per game in the division this season, being fouled 21 times in 4 starts.

Previous Winning Cards Betting Tips
QPR vs Millwall – George Saville to be carded (2/1)
Millwall midfielder George Saville is no stranger to a yellow card, having received 10 or more in each of his last 3 seasons in the Championship. Saville has completed 90 minutes in each of Millwall’s 5 league games this season, making 13 tackles and committing 12 fouls, picking up 1 yellow card. Against QPR, Saville will likely directly face the highly fouled attacking midfielder Karamoko Dembele, who has been fouled 12 times in 4 Championship appearances this season. Referee John Busby has handed out 15 yellow cards and 1 red card in 3 games so far this season which is promising for this selection.
Fulham vs Newcastle – Sasa Lukic to be carded (7/4)
Fulham midfielder Sasa Lukic has picked up 2 bookings in 4 Premier League appearances so far this season, making 9 tackles and 9 fouls. Against Newcastle, Lukic will face the two most fouled players in the division, midfielder Bruno Guimaraes who has been fouled 19 times in 4 games, and winger Anthony Gordon who has been fouled 15 times in 4 games. Directly facing Bruno Guimaraes will be a tough task for Lukic, and with Peter Bankes officiating this game, it won’t take much for Lukic to go into the book.
Monaco vs Barcelona Cards Tip
Lamine Camara to be carded
Marc Casado to be carded
BEST ODDS – 16/1 with Unibet.
Spurs vs Arsenal – Destiny Udogie to be carded (16/5) – WON
Spurs left-back Destiny Udogie is their highest fouling player this season, committing 6 fouls in 3 games, and making 7 tackles. The Italian directly faces Bukayo Saka, Arsenals most fouled player, having been fouled 8 times in 3 Premier League appearances this season. Udogie directly faced Saka once last season, being booked in the 15th minute and committing 8 tackles and 4 fouls during the game. With it being the first North London derby of the season, cards are always expected to be given.
Wolves vs Newcastle – Joao Gomes to be carded (8/5) – LOST
The second Brazilian midfielder on this list is Wolves’ Joao Gomes. Gomes has already been booked twice this season like Souza, and has committed the most fouls in the Premier League, 10 from 3 games. Opposition midfielders have consistently committed fouls against Newcastle, both throughout last season, and in the 3 games played so far this season. Southampton midfielder Flynn Downes escaped without a booking after committing 5 fouls at St James’ Park, whilst a Bournemouth midfielder and all 3 of Spurs’ central midfielders were booked in Newcastle’s 2 most recent Premier League games. Considering that no other side has received more yellow cards than Wolves or Newcastle so far this season, there is likely to be plenty of players booked here.
Joao Gomes to be carded against Nottingham Forest (2/1) – WON
Wolves central midfielder Joao Gomes is no stranger to a booking, having received 17 yellow cards since joining Wolves, despite making only 41 starts. A consistent fouler, Gomes has committed 6 fouls in 2 appearances this season, and he committed 3 in each of Wolves’ meetings with Nottingham Forest last season, being booked once. In both of Nottingham Forest’s Premier League games so far this season, an opposition central midfielder has been booked, and this is not a surprise with both Morgan Gibbs-White and Ryan Yates in midfield drawing a lot of fouls.
Tim Iroegbunam to be carded against Bournemouth (5/2) – WON
After two disappointing results against Brighton and Tottenham, Everton will see this as an opportunity to pick up their first points of the season. Everton midfielder Tim Iroegbunam has a good card record from his youth appearances at Aston Villa, and received 7 bookings for QPR in the Championship in the 22/23 season. Having started the first 2 Premier League games of this season, Iroegbunam has made 10 tackles and committed 7 fouls. An opposition midfielder has been booked in one of Bournemouth’s 2 games this season, with Ryan Yates escaping without a booking after committing 3 fouls in the first game of the season. Having been booked midweek after committing 3 fouls in the Carabao cup against Doncaster, Tim is due his first Premier League yellow card this weekend.
Joelinton to be carded against Tottenham (2/1) – WON
Joelinton may have been lucky to stay on the pitch against Bournemouth after poorly tackling fellow countryman and Bournemouth goalkeeper Neto towards the end of the game. The Brazilian midfielder has made 6 tackles and committed 5 fouls in his 2 appearances so far this season, and he picked up 9 bookings in 21 starts in all competitions last season. In his only appearance against Tottenham last season, Joelinton was booked, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him get stuck in again in what looks likely to be an end-to-end game.
Other Bookies for Betting on Cards Tips
As well as bet365, there are a number of other bookies who are good for betting on players to be carded. Almost all bookies offer odds on players to be carded now but we have found a big disparity in odds. Therefore, we’d recommend sticking to the likes of bet365, BetVictor, Ladbrokes and Coral for these types of bet.
You can also find some new bookies sign-up offers that you might not have used before but make sure the bookies you choose offer odds on yellow cards tips before looking to place any bets.

Booking Points vs Cards Betting
People often confuse booking points in football with cards betting, so we will explain the difference.
Cards betting means you are either betting on the total number of cards in a match, or betting on a specific player to be carded in that match. With the invention of bet builders, you can also bet on 2 or more players to be carded in matches as one bet. This is where the likes of Betting Village and The Card Tipster have become very popular on Twitter, because they pick a number of players to be carded as part of their predictions and combine them into an accumulator.
Booking points mean you are betting on a specific amount of points, with red cards being worth more than yellow cards. This way of betting on cards means if you are betting on over a certain amount of booking points, a red card really helps your bet, whereas if you are betting on a player to be carded, it doesn’t matter if they get a yellow or a red.
How Many Booking Points is a Yellow and Red Card Worth?
- A yellow card is usually worth 10 points when betting on booking points.
- A red card is worth 25 points when betting on booking points.
- Two yellow cards (meaning a red) is also calculated as 25 points.
What is a Bookings Tip?
When betting on a bookings bet, we are predicting which players we think will be booked in a certain match. This could be a single bet or you could combine more than one player to get a card to make up a bet builder.
For example, Liverpool are playing Manchester United in this weekend’s fixtures and we want to place a bet on three players all to pick up a yellow card in the match. The bookings tip would be as follows:
- Virgil Van Dijk to be carded – 3/1
- Bruno Fernandes to be carded – 5/2
- Harry Maguire to be carded – 4/1
ODDS – 70/1 with bet365.
If all three players get a card in the match then the bet is a winner and our cards accumulator tip for today would be a winning bet at odds of 70/1.
How to Bet on Cards Tips
We provide the tips and then it is up to you how you want to bet on them. Cards bets are a very good way to have a small stake bet with potentially big returns and this keeps a match interesting right up until the final whistle.
We would always look to have a few quid on the accumulator just incase we land all of the selections correct for the day’s booking tip. You could also bet on the selections as singles and doubles. The doubles would mean if two of the players selected are booked, your bet would be a winner.
This is an example of how a cards bet would look at bet365 when you place the bet. The odds for this are 25/1 for all three selections to be booked in the match.
Are Cards Tips and Bookings Tips the same?
They are very similar in that you are betting on a player to be carded in the match, which is also a booking.
However, you could also bet on a player to be sent off in a match so this is still classed as a card tip, but not a booking tip because a booking is a yellow card only.
Some bookmakers have different names for the market so it is always best to check the terms and conditions – for example at Paddy Power, you would be betting on a player to be carded. Therefore it doesn’t matter if your selection(s) get a red or yellow card, as long as they get a card.
On bet365, you can bet on a player to be booked, or a player to be sent off.
What Leagues do you have Bookings Tips from?
We will focus on the big Premier League matches for a lot of our bookings betting tips but there will also be predictions from the Champions League, Europa League and Championship. If you were looking for bet builder tips which include bookings, then they will also be available on all the big TV matches this season.
Each Saturday and Tuesday, we will also have a cards accumulator tip that will cover a few matches from today’s fixtures, picking a player to be booked in each of those games. This is similar to a team to win acca but instead of picking one of the teams to win the match, we are picking players to pick up a card in the match instead.
Do you do Bookings Accumulator Tips?
Yes, You will be able to see our betting tips for players to be carded at the top of this page and you can bet on all the picks to be correct by placing a cards accumulator bet. The odds for a player to be booked in a match can be as big as 10/1 so you’re likely to get some generous odds for a bookings accumulator, especially if picking some of the players who aren’t normally in the thick of the action to get a card today.
